The beds are full sized, rough for two adults. The breakfast consists of a bowl of cereal and a Danish.

I checked for bugs and didn't see any... But therein lies the issue. Regardless of the age of the hotel, one should not feel the need to check for bugs. One of the lobby doors is locked, COVID signs and plexiglass everywhere, lobby bathroom not working, boxes of cleaning supplies everywhere create an atmosphere the opposite of welcoming. While the front desk attendant was kind, it was difficult to overlook the mess in front of me.Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed the smell. Somewhat perfuming clearly trying to mask the age of the furnishings, years of pets, and who knows what else! I was disappointed that no one had bothered to turn the AC on, afterall it is summer in Texas. I examined each pillow and pulled back the sheets, everything was clean. The nightstands and desk were clean. Behind the bathroom was evidence someone with medium length black hair had recently stayed in the room. I didn't want to check under the bathroom cabinets.I slept okay, worried that at any moment a family of roaches would inhabit my hair or try to cuddle by my feet. When I woke this morning I realize that the perfumy smelled had decreased but the damp smell of dust, mold, and age had crept in during the night.I was grateful to leave this morning. The lobby was busy with people and the breakfast offerings were very limited. There was coffee but only powdered cream. I anxiously found the nearest gas station and continued on my way.I realize that updating a hotel is a significant expense and no matter how clean the room is that it can be difficult to overlook dated furnishings, cracked tiles, and chipped paint. It is, however, easy to clean a lobby and ensure rooms are spotless. It's inexpensive to replace yellowed and stained lampshades, yellowing paper signs in rooms, and provide something - more complimentary toiletries, bread and a toaster, real cream for coffee - to help guests feel a bit less like they're at an old and run down Days Inn.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. ...They were extremely accommodating and allowed me to check in early at noon after a 2hr drive.

The motel is always clean and well kept. The lady at the front desk has been there for awhile and is very welcoming. I have stayed quite a few times and never had an issue with the Air Conditioning or Hoy water. It's just a good place to spend a comfortable night.

The front desk staff was delightful. That's where it ended. Upon entering our designated crime scene, room 111, we immediately were hit with what anyone would fear. A room that time travelled back to 1971. Filthy carpet. A bed where the linens were clearly not changed or made at all, complete with nice hair DNA samples under the covers in case it got "official" that night. Hey, you love crispy formica? Then you'll love the bathroom area, which coincidentally is part of the room. Visions of romantic trucker hook-ups danced in our heads as we slipped into the foam bed with pillow made from what felt like a bag of leaves. My wife and I thought we should change rooms, and then we quickly surmised...why? Our guess was they are all like this. We were stuck. Not much choice in the area. After a night with us taking turns on lookout duty, we gathered our belongings and struck this up as one for the memory books to tell our grandchildren. You've been warned.

Everything is fine here except the price. Staff and room are up to expectations. But the price is around the price you did pay for a holiday Inn express room. But location location location. You either pay that or drive to the next town 25 minutes away. Because that's your only choice as far as Centerville goes. Also, Country Cousins BBQ (which is the best BBQ in Texas in my opinion) is right next door, then Texas Burger/Subway, Woodys are all in walking distance. Parrot Do-Nuts, and a little public park about a block East on Hwy7 by the square for the kiddos. A grocery store, Dollar General, and a Family dollar are with in a couple minutes driving distance away, right past the park by the laundry mat.

Very comfortable and clean nice breakfast no complaints would definitely stay here again when we next visit the land of the free and the home of the brave. Couldn't of been more welcoming that goes for all of America.
