We enrolled our daughter here about 3 years ago (2021is) post pandemic and were on the fence about it. The campus has since changed administration and we are so happy we stayed to witness the great changes that brought. The current head of school is loving, caring, organized and professional. A perfect mix for the role. Both our daughters head guides (Miss Ebelia and Miss Deanna) are the epitome of what every parent wants for their child's education and care.We love it so much we have already enrolled our second child and can't wait for them to start! The only drawback is the size of the campus, there is no gymnasium or indoor rec area in case of bad weather. But the staff here has done wonders to work with the limited space they have. Nothing but praise for this campus and the team.

I need to begin this review by clarifying a misunderstanding I had when enrolling my kid at this school. It is NOT named after a dinosaur. In fact, there are no dinosaurs named Montessori, Montessorous, Montessori Rex, Montessoridon, or even Montessoridactyl. I think Montessori is Italian, actually.Next obvious question: Were all dinosaurs Italian? This is hotly debated amongst anthropologists even today. My theory is that yes, and that what actually killed the dinosaurs was not a meteor from space, but rather a meteor-sized meatball. All evidence is forthcoming once I can find a scientific journal that will publish my thesis.Anyway, back to the review of the school. Hold on to your butts...I have two children that attend the school. One of them is in the toddler classroom, and the other is in one of the Children's Houses. (They call them houses despite the fact that they are obviously classrooms. I don't know why. When you reach out to admissions, you can use that as an icebreaker. You're welcome). My partner, my kids, and I have all been very pleased with both classrooms. Montessori schools treat their students as fully capable people with their own agency. This sounds like a recipe for disaster, but somehow they make it work. When you watch a classroom in full swing, it's like a well-oiled machine. The students are working either independently or cooperatively. They are cleaning up after themselves, being respectful towards others, and are highly attentive towards their classwork. They are very clever girls and boys. This is a testament to the excellent guides (their term for teachers, again I don't know why, there's your second icebreaker). It sounds impossible but, uh, the guides find a way.The administration is also wonderful. They are pro-active with their communications, and we always feel in the loop. Almost every day there are optional extra-curricular activity options on the school grounds, which is super convenient. Things like art, gym, and soccer. The school is a great size. It's small enough that it feels like a real community. Everyone on the staff knows our kids' names, even guides of different classrooms, and they know both my partner and me. There are frequent classroom-wide and school-wide events, both in person and remote. There's an outdoor playground, of course, and a garden area that gets frequent use. All of the children participate in maintaining it, which is cool.Tuition is reasonable, even though it seems like they've spared no expense, so that's nice.Well, readers, after careful consideration, and despite the lack of actual dinosaurs, I've decided to endorse Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek.

Deciding on a school for our little one was a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with uncertainty and parental jitters. But our experience with Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek was like finding a beacon of warmth and reassurance in the midst of it all.Walking through the doors of Guidepost at Cypress Creek, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The onboarding process wasn't just about paperwork; it was about getting to know our family, understanding our parental beliefs, educational needs and easing our anxieties every step of the way.The school tour wasn't just a routine walkthrough; it was a chance to see our child's potential new world through her eyes. Everybody we came across through the tour was extremely nice and helpful. Being able to peek into the classrooms and witness the learning in action was incredibly comforting. It wasn't about fancy presentations; it was about real-life learning, recognizing children’s potentials, fostering their independence and joy.But what really stole our hearts was the invitation to an internal school event. The Head of School, Ms. Lauren personally greeted us and our daughter, meeting the guides, Ms. Ebelia and Ms. Alex and mingling with other parents made us feel like we were already part of a caring community. Seeing the joy on the faces of other parents reassured us that we were in the right place.Knowing where we were leaving our precious one and who would be watching over her meant everything to us. Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek isn't just a school; it's a home away from home, filled with love and laughter. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and we wholeheartedly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek to any parent looking for that perfect blend of education and genuine care.

Guidepost Cypress Creek is a good place to work, where the child comes first. Lead Guide Ms Deanna is really invested in her classroom and in the Montessori principles. She always looks out for her students and helps them to succeed. I would recommend this location!

We love everything about Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek - the teachers, curriculum, and facilities - what sets it apart from other preschools is how great the Head of School is: Lauren is very nice, great with kids, interacting with parents, and truly cares. Both of our daughters have attended Guidepost Cypress Creek and we can’t say enough great things about the school. The staff is the highest quality across the board. The head of school, Lauren Horn, is friendly, positive, organized, communicative, and dedicated to ensuring that the specific needs of each child are met. The guides are well-qualified and nurturing. Ms. Ebelia and Ms. Deanna have both been phenomenal for our girls at the toddler and children’s house levels, respectively. Very detail-oriented and caring. There is just a family atmosphere at the school that seems really rare. Our girls both looked forward to school each day and we are grateful that it seems to have inspired in them a love of learning that continues to this day.

Choosing Guidepost Montessori at Cypress Creek for our toddler has been an exceptional experience. The toddler room offers a nurturing and vibrant space that truly supports our child's growth and learning, thanks to an outstanding team of educators. Mrs. Ebelia, assisted by Ms. Alex, with regular support from Ms. Stella, Ms. Emma, Ms. Deanna, and not to forget, the wonderful contributions of Ms. Lauren and Ms. Eva, creates a warm and enriching environment. Their collective dedication and expertise are evident in the remarkable progress we see in our child, from increased independence to an enhanced love for learning. We are also excited about the upcoming transition to the Children's House, where Ms. Karina will take over as the teacher. Her reputation for fostering a deep love of learning and encouraging independence makes us look forward to our child's continued education with great enthusiasm. The curriculum is comprehensive and thoughtfully designed, ensuring a well-rounded educational journey. The strong sense of community at Guidepost Montessori, coupled with the numerous opportunities for family involvement, makes us feel incredibly connected and supportive of our child's learning journey. We wholeheartedly recommend this school for its nurturing environment, exceptional teachers, and commitment to fostering each child's development. There are so many amazing things to say about this beautiful community. First, the leadership and teachers are outstanding. Ms. Lauren and Ms. Eva treat this place like it’s their own family. You’ll see them everyday, working hard to make sure things are running smoothly. They care about your kids in a way that I haven’t seen in other preschools. Communication is top notch! They also create so many wonderful community events- from making dumplings for Lunar New Year, book exchanges, trunk or treat during Halloween, to multiple thoughtful and inclusive events celebrating caregivers- the thoughtfulness and attention to details are unmatched. The teachers and aides are skilled beyond words! Ms. Ebelia and Ms. Alex in the toddler room have been life changing for our family. Their patience and love is unwavering. Most recently, we’ve begun potty training and this has always felt like an overwhelming feat for our family. But with the guidance of these amazing teachers it’s been a breeze! Have to shout out Ms. Stella and Ms. Emma too because the assistant teachers/aides show so much love to our girl too.Our daughter has learned so much in her classroom as well. Her independence and focus during independent play has really soared. She’s learned so many tools to help her succeed, feel proud and accomplished. Plus the environment is always so beautiful and clean!10/10 recommend Guidepost at Cypress Creek- we are so grateful and lucky to be part of this community!
