Vet services are very overpriced, always trying to push services, among many other things your pet does not need. They keep trying to shove that "wellness" (insurance) package down your throat. When it comes down to "savings", you are getting ripped off. Please read the fine print.When it comes down to any medication your pet may need, your local pharmacy carries about 98% of them around half the price. The one thing I can say about them is the drop-off service. I can drop them off early in the morning and pick them why not support your local mom and pop stores? Help hem stay in business with your support!

Do not schedule at this office. I have never had any issues at the Pecan Park or Whitestone locations, but for some reason this office is subpar. I scheduled an appointment online yesterday for today...I get a call this morning saying "It shows you scheduled an appointment online unfortunately we are booked and cannot take your pet" omg make that make sense how was I able to schedule? She says they have no control over that. I gladly let her know this isn't a banfield issue it's their incompetent office because a few months ago they called me to schedule a dental for my dog, scheduled it, then called back a day or so later to tell me can we send you someplace else because we can't take you on that day we have stopped doing dental on Sundays for a while. WHAT?...are you serious? I made it very clear I will never schedule there again!

UPDATE: This location used to be Great. Specially the doctors on sight. After covid I never got to see or talk to a doctor again. They changed all the amazing doctors from before and I just got tired of not having a normal vet visit with doctors in the room and having things done in front of me. I cancelled the insurance for my 4 animals, got a private insurance and now they all go to Firehouse. Very sad. I used to LOVE coming here.Stuff at front desk was always helpful and polite.(2020) I love this location. I moved from another one to here because everyone is so amazing, kind, polite and the doctors are the best. You really feel that they care about your pets and they try to do anything to heal them. I travel extra just because of the quality of people and service from this place.

Every interaction with this facility has been a disappointment. I scheduled an appointment online, weeks in advance, to receive a call a couple days prior to the appt. telling me it was not an appointment, but a drop off, and I would need to drop him off hours earlier than originally scheduled, causing me to have to completely change other plans scheduled for the day. Due to the last minute (couple days) change notification, I was unable to find an available opening elsewhere and had to keep the appt. Once there, I was quoted fees for the visit, a couple shots and supplements, which exceeded the recent fee for my own uninsured full physical, blood work and gyn exam. They tried desperately to upsell a pet pkg even after I stated I was not interested. When paying, I requested a receipt with the notes from his exam, and I was told it would be emailed. When I didn't receive that email by the following morning I emailed them to request it. When I didn't receive the notes and receipt again by the following morning, I called to request it. I was put on hold for quite some time, then I was told that my email address wasn't working -- after having received multiple communication about the nonexistent appointment options via email -- as well as providing it to them the day of appt. It was clear I was being misinformed as a CYA on their part. Following that call, they finally sent the receipt, WITHOUT the requested notes and Dr. recommendations from the visit. I will never use a Banfield facility again. Every step of the process was disappointing and I have zero trust in their service.If I could leave zero stars on the review, I would.

My go to place to take my pets. The only gripe I have is my schedule doesn't allow me to drop my pets off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoons so I have to make arrangements. I wish I could schedule an appointment and bring them at that time. Other than that they are great!!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I was given no advance warning that the "appointment" was a drop-off, and when I stupidly decided to leave my pet there, I was waiting for 4 hours. After these 4 hours, I called and was told they didn't know if my pet had been seen by the vet yet. I went inside, and sure enough my pet had not even been seen yet after 4 hours. The shots my pet needed took less than 10 minutes once I said something. I understand that emergencies happen, but when I make an appointment for a specific time, it's because I'm unavailable later! Of course, I was most likely more stressed than my pet, but I would've appreciated being told how long to expect this to take.

The response from corporate to my posting was more about trying to appear attentive on Yelp than anything else. There was no accountability or genuine concern the email response just asking me to send more information so the local banfield branch could reach out. Stay away from the wellness plans and far away from Banfield.

We dropped our dog off at 9:30am for one vaccine and a physical. It's now 5:00pm and he's still not ready. Last time this process took an hour. This place has gone downhill fast. We won't be returning and will be canceling our subscription.

Horrible. Do NOT trust this location with your pets. During an oral exam, Dr gave both our pets the all clear and that their mouths were healthy. A month later they both stopped eating, we took them to another location and the vet there said they had multiple abscesses, gingivitis, etc. and tooth extraction was necessary, and could have been avoided if we caught sooner. We told them that a banfield Dr at this location said they were healthy just last month and we’re told that was unacceptable by the Dr, they would investigate, not sure of the outcome.Appointments get rescheduled with almost no notice, staff does not know how to operate their own equipment or navigate their own software. This location lost multiple records for my pets, including everything relating to the tooth extraction for one of cats! They do not seem to upload them to patient portals, either. Overall unacceptable, there are multiple Banfield locations within a mile of this one, go to one of those instead and maybe you’ll have a better experience, but best to avoid Banfield entirely. You’ll end up paying more for far worse service and treatment here.One exception is Dr. Kemerling, she was fantastic, but seems to be a diamond in the rough.

I moved from the Dallas area to the Austin area almost a year ago and I have had to bounce around multiple Banfields due to the lack of service. This location is by far the worst. It takes over a week to get my dog's prescription filled. He takes hydroxyzine for his skin and due to the wait, he has had a break out. They constantly have different traveling vets so my pets never saw the same one. This place is a mess. My husband spent 39 minutes there last week just to get prescriptions filled that did not required a vet's approval. When you call be prepared to wait for almost an hour. I got out on hold waiting for the news on the refill of the hydroxyzine and I am pretty sure they forgot about me because i hing up after almost an hour only to hang up and for the same lady to answer and tell me it hasn't been filled yet. I would not recommend going here. I have canceled my subscription with them and found a much nicer vet.

I have had a routine comprehensive exam and dental cleaning for my pet scheduled for June 1, 2023 since December 2022, and am just NOW, on the eve of the appointment, am being told there isn't a doctor available for the dental cleaning and to call other locations. If I was told a few months ago, this wouldn't be a problem, but this appointment has been on file for half a year.

This office is horrible. Rotating door of vets and terrible front desk service. It also smells - which I get there are lots of animals in a small space but it's a bit much.

Someone I know took their pet here to get spayed. They totally butchered the poor animal and the incision is beyond infected! They said they couldn't find the ovaries because it was too small, umm hello why not call the owner to let them know (give them a choice to back out!) before performing the botched job you did?Terrible. They should be sued.

After 2 years of coming to this location, our visits were always up in the air. They would either reschedule our appointments because they don't have the staff available but yet still book appointments or they would just cancel your appointment without telling you then look clueless when you arrive. Ive actually been rescheduled before because the front desk person said that the doctor I scheduled with was no longer there. Oh and also, Ive been rescheduled on 3-4 different times because the doctor had to "Do Something" and could not see me, is what I was told by the front desk.I lost trust with them and keeping the right record's on file. There have been times where they have given an extra shot by mistake then tell me "but your baby will be okay". They harass you with calls consistently trying to get you schedule services, you sound like a sales company. I've literally had to ask them to please stop calling to try and schedule, I will schedule at my own time... there still calling me trying to schedule after I've informed them that I would not be returning to that location.Veterinarians never seem to stay, it's a revolving door. I would drive all the way from Austin because this WAS a good location but after a couple of months going there, things took a terrible turn. Be sure you always ask what your charges are because they like to sneak services that "your pup needs" without your consent. They wont say anything, they just charge the card assuming you approved the add on service or they will tell you at checkout leaving you no choice but to pay. Not a good way to conduct business in my opinion. I cant tell you how many times they have charged me for additional services other then what was initially scheduled.Overall, I highly recommend anyone to find a local vet that will take the time to get to know you and your baby. Find a veterinarian that you can create a relationship with because at Banfield, no one ever seems to stay. I'm waiting out the remaining term of my contract but NEVER going back to Banfield after this contract is complete. Horrible company and ready to charge you for anything and everything. Don't waist your time or money with Banfield. Do what you want with this information. My review isn't long for nothing.

Most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. My wife and I were lied to about services that our dog was to receive and flat out refused treatment for a separate issue after expressing distrust in them for the absolute lack of accountability and misrepresentation. We will never use them again & frankly I will be seeking litigation if this experience isn't rectified. If you decide to use this place just know that the doctors don't actually work for Banfield "according to the doctor I spoke with today" and they can literally say whatever they want without being held to it. As a professional entity that represents the health and treatment of animals your future looks bleak if you continue these practices. Now I have to find a place to take my dog that's very much still in pain... Thanks for causing my pet MORE PAIN! ?
