If you are looking for a boxing fitness location near Cedarhill this is worth considering. First class is free but you should get there 10 to 15 minutes prior to class to get a briefing to help you keep up in class otherwise you may be loss. I had the unlimited membership that allowed attending several scheduled classes a week and access to facilities for independent workouts. Location has four different bags and "buddies" that you can use for boxing workouts. This is the only location with a ring that you can use to train and/or spar. If you looking to become an actual boxer or improve your boxing then make sure u ask question to ensure this location has the staff to help support your boxing goals -- the main focus is fitness opportunity. Ring is not used during scheduled class workouts. There is also treadmills, row machines, free weights and battle ropes that are used as part of the boxing workout as well. Location has showers for use stocked with towels and washing clothes. There is a water fountain and at times cold bottled water available. This location has a youth program so they are separate from the adult work outs.
Communication about closure and shutdown are primary via social media and email. I did not receive any txt to notify of any schedule or class changes while I was a member. The area of communication with members is an area this location can improve.
I have attended scheduled classes at other Mayweather location in DFW and the biggest difference is the environment for the workout, excitement level of trainer running the class, music being played, the hours the location open for membership to utilize facilities, trainer level of experience and maintenance of location by the owner. Management and staff can also affect the quality of your overall experience based on location as well.
When I decided to cancel my membership, I did so in person. I was provided with the official paper form to cancel and submitted to site manager to successfully cancel my membership after being an active (and founding member) member for nine months. Hope this review help you make an informed decision of if the Mayweather Cedarhill location is a good fit for you.

Edit October 2023: Unfortunately the most recent reviews are true, and the studio has changed completely for the worse. Sad and disappointing to see most of the instructors go. No A/C during the summer and also their water fountains/bottle refillers were broken (and still are) as well. The main video screen is consistently not functioning correctly and the group class times are limited and the “freestyle” format is disorganized and loose. I have been a founding member since Sept. 2022 and feel bad this place has gone downhill in such a short period of time. Sadly not worth the cost of an unlimited membership. I keep holding out hope that this place will turn around, but there’s been none yet. Sadly showed a lot of promise at the beginning. I loved the community, the camaraderie, the reliability, the dynamic workouts and instructors, and the general professionalism, but that’s just a shadow of what the studio is now.
Love classes with Coach Bam and Sha. Clean well-equipped facility, great music, awesome workouts, cool instructors, and overall amazing vibes! #hardwork #dedication

I was an original founding member. There was a lot more care and attention to detail when the gym first opened, although they encouraged members to buy the heart rate tracker but always had trouble getting the heart rate monitors to run consistently. I used to enjoy the workouts a lot. Good instructors (who are no longer there) and they maintained their facilities. This is no longer the case. There are also extremely limited class times compared to what was offered before. I was previously a member of another location and this franchise lacks in comparison by far. Not sure why they can’t seem to figure it out. Further, they have not even been running their A/C since the summer. It is not worth the price of a premium gym membership that you’re paying for. Don't waste your money. Sadly, whoever runs/owns this business does not seem to care about it.

Was really enjoying this location until they cut trainers, cut the majority of the classes, and essentially became an open gym. The appeal is the community and class style training with an actual trainer, but none of those things are present anymore at this location.

I just canceled my membership here after being an original member since September of 2022. I used to love coming here for the great coaching and work out and how the classes fit into my schedule. However, they have lost all of their coaches except one, all weekday morning classes are canceled and they just canceled the Sunday morning class. Additionally, the heart rate monitor screen doesn’t work, the main video screen doesn’t work, two of the buddy stations are broken and there is no A/C so it is miserable hot during the workout as well as being unsafe. I am beyond disappointed because I love boxing for fitness.

I’m completely disgusted with this business. I’m a disabled veteran that uses fitness to help deal with my stress, ptsd, anxiety & depression. Not long after I signed up for a membership I was injured on the working at the ER in the VA Dallas. I have a torn meniscus medial and lateral, fractured L foot, L5-L10 herniated and grade 1 strains on my rotator cuffs. I have been unable to work out for months. So about three months ago I started to try to cancel my membership after getting the run around I sent an email after the run around with that I decided to come in. I have never even worked out in the gym since I got a membership just trying to support BLACK BUSINESS. I was told that I was behind on a payment so I was not allowed to cancel my membership. I said that don’t make any sense I never been here never checked in but I can’t cancel because I was late for last month and paid up for this month. Well I called my bank and changing my account and debit card which shouldn’t have to happen but I’m forced to do this since I was repeatedly told I could cancel my membership. Hopefully someone reads this and decides to do something about this policy god bless.

Coach Sha is a great Instructor and I love taking her class. I have lost weight and also learned better technique at the same time, I would definitely recommend this gym!

Sha is an amazing instructor and I really wish I could leave a good review because the workout itself was excellent.
The management is completely unwilling to own up to the botched cancellation messaging from Maddie, the manager who quit. She said my cancellation is successful, and surprise, surprise... my account gets hit the following month for the monthly payment.
I drove out to had it out with the new management, and the narrative is that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for someone to cancel via phone because you have to sign paperwork. Sounds like something the ex-manager should have known! Not to mention the additional month they promised to charge me as a farewell gift (according to policy).
If you're the type of person with an extra $200 lying around to donate to the Floyd Mayweather charitable foundation, I can say you WILL enjoy this gym because the trainers are great leaders and greater people. But if you're like me and $200 impacts your budget, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFO!

If you have a schedule to keep and a routine to maintain, do not join this location. Since Sept 2022, several early am classes have started late and/or been cancelled w/o notice to members. I expressed to the class instructor how much this impacted me and I was assured that it wouldn't happen again, joke's on me. It happened again, several times. I finally had enough when the first class of 2023 was fumbled. I have since terminated my membership but here's something you should know before joining. There is a contractual obligation to provide 30-Days notice to terminate. This obligation will subject you to a final monthly membership fee. There is also a contractual obligation to notify the location if they have failed to provide services they've advertised and you must give them an opportunity to correct it. I gave them 3 mos. You've been informed.

Terrible management. We paid for a heart rate monitor and after 4 months they still don’t have the system working, and they overcharged me on the original agreed upon price by more than $40. Every time I have tried calling they almost never answer. They have maybe answered the phone 1 out of 10 calls. Do not sign up for this gym. (Update) Just got off the phone with the new manager as the old one quit. They refused to give me a refund even though the previous manager said she cancelled my membership prior to this month. This gym is a scam and an absolute disaster. You will be ripped off if you sign up.

Very disappointed with management at this location. Signed up at a discounted rate, but was consistently charged $40 more every month. The heart rate monitor system (which I paid extra for) was never working and constantly promised that it would be up and running “soon”. I tried calling multiple days in a row just to be on hold for 15+ minutes and nobody would ever pick up. When I was finally able to confirm with the manager that we had cancelled my contract, she quits and I am still being charged the higher than agreed upon rate. Currently in the process of disputing with my bank. Complete nightmare of a gym.

The gym was overall great but the time frames for classes were not for me or my work hours so I canceled my membership and the continued on charging me after me calling and getting ignored I finally contacted the manager and she refunded me all my money and they stopped charging me.
