Beautiful old church, you can breathe peace and tranquility. I was there on Sunday for Holy Mass in Spanish at 2:00 pm, although there is no announcement if there is a mass at 2:00 pm Sunday.Blessings ?

Beautiful church, I hadn't been there in 20 yrs. I don't live in Castroville but St. Louis has always been one of my favorite churches. Everyone is so Friendly. ??

Beautiful Church, Pastor was amazing and lots of seating for a funeral we attended. The Pastor was very sincere and came around to greet the family. God forbid, but if we have anymore funerals, this is the place we would come to. The service was amazing. Thank you, Pastor, for laying hands over my baby brother, who was only 15 years old. May God bless you for the amazing heart you really do have.

Mass was all spoken in English & understanable. We will be back to partake of the Vigil Mass Services. The short drive from our home in FarNorthWest San Antonio is just a few miles of major roads ( about 15 miles ).

We didn't get to go inside. Seeing old churches like this is awesome. The architecture, stained glass and construction always amaze me. We did get to enjoy how it looked at night.

My Wife and I were Married in this Church 28 years ago. We are regular Parishioners and attend 10:30 am services on Sundays we also enjoy serving at Church. This Church is a very close knit community that does a lot for the needs of the last fortunate. The Church is over 100 years old and has a rich history. The Pastor is very genuine and personable. The annual Church Festival in August is a huge hit that draws people in from all over.

Here is a church built in 1868 with a beautiful statue of St Louis (Louis IX) who was king of France from 1226 to 1270 and who died during the eight crusade. Both the church and the statue offer a glimpse into the medieval world from the heart of modern Texas.
