CSCH has a good athletics program and strong fine arts department. Plus they boast smaller class sizes. However, over the last several years many great teachers have left and it is clear that very little staff development is conducted as many use antiquated teaching techniques or have little background in education. Plus, the school is not welcoming to students with different leaning abilities. In one case a student was ridiculed in front of their whole class by the teacher for poor spelling. However, I do not fault the teachers as they lacked the necessary support from administrators. One administrator actually told me they pay the teachers peanuts so what should I expect. While another administrator told me I needed to lower my standards which were the standards I offered my public school students and that my children experienced in public school. So if you are wanting something better than public school academically, I suggest looking elsewhere.

And the time you walk into the school until the time you leave, you'll be surrounded by smiling faces and happy children. I'm always impressed with the respect and manners that are instilled in the students administration is hands-down, unlike any other. Their care and dedication to providing the best educational experience is of top priority

Wonderful school full of genuinely caring staff & teachers who love their job & the children. The education taught through a biblical worldview is quality. My children love going to school here & are thriving! The students are taught by example from the staff and through hands-on opportunity on how to be a servant leader, to apply what they learn in the classroom to daily life. The administration are superb in their resolve to partner with parents in the education of the students in academics, leadership, & service to others.

Teachers don't get paid enough here. This shows in the classroom. We saw several instances of inexperience in the teachers or just don't have the educational background. When identifying these learning deficiencies to the teachers and administration, rather than partnering with the parents, the school uses the following steps (despite the 6 Steps outlined in the handbook): 1. Ignore, 2. Dismiss as misunderstanding, 3 & 4. Label parent as hostile and harassing, then remove family. The administration would rather avoid the problem over doing the job correctly. This was apparent in the Early College Academy. The history teacher was not providing feedback for grades on assignments. The teacher was also not following the college approved syllabus. When we raised questions, the teacher pulled in administration, the family's account was frozen, and kids were involuntarily withdrawn. Youngest went to public school and was 9 weeks behind! What the school says is different than it does!

I sent this comment as an unsolicited token of appreciation to my child's teachers and received both thanks and suggestion that it may be a helpful review...As an OB/GYN, I speak with so many of my patients about childcare and how their kids are doing. Since the pandemic, a lot of them have kids who have behavior problems, don't adapt well to new situations, are behind in milestones, etc.Truly, we have been BLESSED with THREE GREAT KIDS!! It seems improbable that they are ALL doing SO WELL.I give so much CREDIT to the WONDERFUL TEACHERS at Castle Hills Christian School for helping us to raise bright, happy, polite, social, confident, well-adjusted, all-around AMAZING LITTLE HUMANS!!! I thank them so much for all that they do!It truly is God's work!

Met or chatted with 2 grads and neither knew or believed that Vikings predated American Indians in America... weak curriculum... just spawning more liberal trash blind to the truths of the foundational knowledge one must have to understand things

We are about to start our 5th year here at The Christian School at Castle Hills. My son started in the preschool, and my daughter in Kinder. My two kids LOVE their school because they have teachers who not only want them to love learning, but also want to make a real and lasting impact in my kid’s hearts, lives, and continue to enhance their relationship with Christ. These amazing teachers continue to help my kids grow in character by teaching God’s Word and reinforcing the importance of kindness, strong morals, respect and obedience. In the world we live in today, this is just as important as academics. The academics are among the best. The school is ACSI accredited, and most teachers have higher level college degrees and ACSI certifications. The curriculum requires the best from each student in a way that persues excellence without requiring perfection. The school also offers academic competitions, with many other ACSI accredited schools, in several disciplines including math, science, speech, art and music. These competitions gave my kids the opportunity to challenge themselves even more and experience healthy and fun competition. The Christian School at Castle Hills also has an wonderful phonics and reading program/curriculum. Thanks to the awesome curriculum and instruction by their teachers, my kids are reading at least 2-3 grade levels ahead. The school’s administration team is just as loving and caring as the teachers they serve. They are always available when a student or parent needs help or needs a counsel, and every thought and decision made is always in the best interest of the students and their families. Just like the teachers, they too experience the greatest joy when they see Christ work directly in each student’s heart.

This is my son’s second year at Castle Hills. Before moving to Castle Hills, he was a struggling reader and didn’t like school much. Within a few months of being here, he showed great improvement in all areas. The teachers all went above and beyond to help him learn in the ways he needed to. He is now on grade level and really likes school. We can’t imagine sending him anywhere else.

Having myself been a product of Christian education, it was important to my husband and I that our children where given the same opportunities for an excellent, college prep experience that puts Jesus in the center of everything. Knowing that my children are being prayed for by name each and every day by the teachers who instruct them makes my momma heart so happy, and that's what happens at this school. We have been at CHS for two years. My son has made amazing friends that he can openly share his faith with. As a 4th & 5th grader, he has produced award winning art (because of his amazing teacher!!) in ACSI competitions, performed in musicals, and played basketball and track. He's so excited to have the opportunity in 6th grade to join the band and the middle school 6 man football team ?.My daughter started as a freshman in the high school program. She has played volleyball, basketball and cheer, as well as particpated in One Act plays, drama club, and the award winning choir. She is an active member of the Leadership Academy, an amazing program that gives students an opportunity to rub elbows with leaders in our city, while at the same time instilling a spirit of service. She also participates in the Student Council. Her classes have been challenging, and her teachers have spent extra time before and after school to work with her one on one when there has been a concept she hasn't grasped. Next year she is moving to the Advanced Placement track, to become more prepared for her college education. The Christian School at Castle Hills has the clubs, fine arts, education and athletics of a big school, while maintaining the family spirit of a small school. I have found the teachers to be God-fearing individuals who serve my kids.We absolutely feel blessed to be at Castle Hills, and love it! I would totally recommend CHS as a safe, loving place to receive an excellent Christian education.

Sent my 2 year old daughter to the summer program. She cried more than a month which she never cry when she attends her regular school during regular school year. Room is chaotic each time I walked in. Teachers are inconsistent. The “lesson plan” posted on the wall is just a joke and for show. Nothing was taught. Maybe they are better during the school year. But it’s definitely chaotic and unorganized during the summer. I withdrew my child after 4 weeks.

My son started attending this school at the age of 2. He's almost 4. This school is such a blessing and I couldn't be more satisfied. We had terrible experience at a daycare when we first move to SA. I was worried but at CHS, I leave everyday knowing he's in good hand. Not only did they help to potty train him, they teach him very well. Letters, numbers, bible versus, planets etc.! He comes home with art work everyday! He comes home singing all the songs and reciting everything he has learned. This school is amazing and I'm so grateful for CHS. I RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL 100%.

My daughter is currently enrolled. So far, our experience is below par. FWhen you enter the building, there is a musty (old) smell. Then, in the classroom, the smell reminds me of a daycare not an elementary school. I had a brief tour of the cafeteria and was NOT impressed. It looked messy and the musty smell was apparent. Secondly, my daughter is usually excited when trying something new, and so far, she has been less than excited. She was bitten by fire ants and says her teacher seemed unconcerned. Plus, there seems to be no enthusiasm. I doubt that we will return to this camp.

My grandson had a great teacher. He was in the pre K 4. Due to the curriculum that is used he is reading at a kinder level. The summer program is well planned out. We love Ms. LaMarr!

My family & I had a horrible experience @ this place. We paid for a basket ball camp sponsored by this school & the head coach Tim Springer & Layton Westmoreland(Coach L). These two guys are extremely racist towards blacks that are not famous or a celebrity. My son was mistreated by this organization for no reason other than his skin color.
