“Costco in San Antonio Northwest really stands out, especially when it comes to its attached liquor store. With all the weird and arcane liquor laws across the U.S., it’s rare to find a good one, but this location shines. The selection was surprisingly great, and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all their products. If you're looking for quality options and excellent service, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!”

“This particular H-E-B location is incredibly convenient for us, being just a few minutes from home. Unfortunately, it’s consistently hit or miss when it comes to stock. Nearly every time we stop by for a quick grocery run, we end up missing five or six items from our list due to them being out of stock. It's frustrating when you rely on a nearby store for everyday essentials and frequently leave without key items.
On a more positive note, the bakery at this location is phenomenal. Their conchas are the best we've had from any H-E-B in San Antonio, always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. It's one of the few reasons we still make regular stops here despite the stocking issues.
The customer service is usually quite good. Most of the staff are courteous, approachable, and helpful when we’ve needed assistance. That level of friendliness goes a long way in creating a welcoming shopping experience.
Another highlight is the meat department. While I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the city, it does consistently offer some of the better cuts we’ve seen around town. The quality is definitely above average compared to other locations nearby.
Overall, this store has a lot of potential. It’s clean, the staff is great, the bakery is top-tier, and the meat section stands out, but the persistent inventory shortages make it difficult to rely on for complete grocery runs. If they could improve their restocking or product availability, it would make a huge difference for regular shoppers like us.”
“Ok, so I'm from out of state, and we don't have grocery stores like this where I'm from. My biggest praise for HEB is that their sushi rolls are insanely good. Like, how does a grocery store offer some of the best sushi I've ever had?! Amazing.

“I love this HEB! It is quaint and small. Everything I need is here and well organized and easy to find. Great selection of wine and beer. Bakery is kind of small but it's a small HEB so it's understandable. If I need pistachio cranberry bread, almond croissants, or cannoli the Lincoln heights store AKA (the gucci-B) isn't that far away.”

“H‑E‑B Fuel has made strides in upgrading their pumps to offer a more modern and efficient fueling experience. However, during my recent visit, I encountered a notable drawback: the lack of sufficient lighting on the updated pumps.
While the enhancements to the pumps themselves were noticeable, the absence of proper illumination made the fueling process less convenient, especially during evening hours or in low-light conditions.
Navigating the pump interface and reading important information became a challenge, potentially leading to inconvenience and frustration for customers.
Despite this setback, H‑E‑B Fuel continues to provide quality fuel and convenient service, and with some adjustments to the lighting, they could further elevate the customer experience.”

“I have to share why my 3star went to 5stars! This week my daughter had 2 brain surgery's & she's going to make it but I definitely needed something to smile about after the rough 11 days I've had. Our cashier George made my day! He complimented me, was extremely patient (after closing), had common sence, polite, sweet & gave the absolute best customer service! “Absolutely five stars for the Lincoln Heights Market H‑E‑B in San Antonio! I was told by several friends that H‑E‑B was a must-visit if I was in the area, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and well-stocked the store was. The layout is intuitive, the aisles are spacious, and everything is clearly labeled, making it easy to find exactly what you need — and a few things you didn’t know you needed!
Let’s talk about the produce department — incredible. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully displayed. You can tell they take pride in offering top-quality fruits and vegetables. The meat department, though, was truly next-level. The selection was expansive and well-curated, with knowledgeable staff ready to offer suggestions and answer any questions. I picked up some steaks that were absolutely perfect — fresh, well-marbled, and reasonably priced.
One of the absolute highlights? The H‑E‑B butter tortillas. I’d heard people rave about them, and now I get it. Warm, soft, buttery perfection. Honestly, I could eat them straight out of the bag (and I did). They’re a must-buy if you visit.
Every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the positive shopping experience. This H‑E‑B has everything you could want from a grocery store — quality, selection, service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll absolutely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the San Antonio area.”

“Came to this Heb Because it's closer a and was only picking up a prescription which after asking around I was able to get here cheaper. As I was walking down the aisles I saw more sales and I just had to grab now this was a steal 1.49 you can not beat this for a 12 pack so took 2 of each. Love my H‑E‑B.”

“I came for some bread & left with a lot more than just...bread. *wink If I had to describe Central Market, I could do it in 3 words. This is the UPSCALE TRADER JOES. Maybe even Whole Foods on some level. Don't expect this to meet your expectations for your local HEB. It won't. That said, it's a classier, far more expensive supermarket...but the variety is OH MY GOD. Like other reviewers have stated, if you are looking for that ONE ingredient that seems impossible to find, you have a darn good chance at finding it here. Walking through the aisles, I could tell that Central Market carries QUALITY ingredients. There was many different "areas" depending on what you are looking for which made it easier to get what you need, but it was still nice to roam. We mainly came for their SOURDOUGH bread but unfortunately we didn't get the plain one. I LOVE that I finally found a place that carries ELLENOS yogurt (Marionberry is the best flavor, imo)...and I'll be back even if it's just for this particular item. All in all, I could spend a good two hours going from place to place in this market.”
“When Ive spoken to the techs behind the counter they are very cordial and with a “How may I help you” genuine demeanor moreover the Pharmacists is very knowledgeable and polite.
As far as price wise on meds goes, Well they are competitive to the big chain pharmacies and (in my case) they are cheaper. Plus offer free delivery!!!
Now this is only the second time I’ve used them, we will see how they perform in future transactions.
Ohhh , I only have a couple of concerns:
1) they will not take discount cards like::The Good RX discount cards.
2) The Galaxy pharmacies do not have their own discount cards like HEB does.
But apart from those couple of gripes.

“I love coming to this pharmacy for my vaccinations because the pharmacist makes me feel so comfortable. She thoroughly explains everything on what to expect with each vaccination. She even recommends what vaccinations I should be receiving. I used to get my prescriptions at HEB but now I moved all my prescriptions to CVS because of her. I highly recommend going to this location to get your vaccinations and your prescriptions”
