Vent Craft impressed me with their quality solutions and reasonable prices, standing out among 5 other companies I considered. Their expertise in devising unique solutions, managing procurement, and handling installation made them my top choice. I appreciated their one-stop-shop approach, which covered all aspects of my projects, including electrical work and installing a roof cap on my 3 story home. They were easy to work with, and their thoughtful solutions effectively resolved major pain points within my home.

I echo the previous reviewer, Brian C. . What a terrible experience! I rarely leave reviews, but in the public interest, I am leaving this detailed review.Proceed at your own risk! They will over charge and under deliver. They are a bait and switch bunch.I requested a quote and a very nice gentleman named Camilo scheduled an appointment and came to my house. He is evidently their front man. He prepared a bid and after negotiation, we agreed to proceed. He did excellent work but was "not able to complete the transition" from the range hood to the 8 inch roof vent. He said that "another team" would complete the transition between the range hood to the roof vent.A few days later, the office called me to say they needed another $150 for the transition "to complete the work". I was led to believe that this extra charge was required because the transition would be fabricated by another company, namely Ventahood. I was pressed by Tricia in the office to agreed to the "extra charge" to complete the job. Our firm understanding was that the original bid had already included this transition. We were puzzled and uncomfortable now with them. The project then headed downhill quickly. A different crew arrived a few days later unannounced , with no prior appointment, phone call or text, and said "they would finish the job". Instead of delivering for installation the promised Ventahood transition, they had fabricated their own jake leg transition . It was not a professional job. We watched as the crew leader did no work, leaving it to someone else who was unqualified. He instead was on the phone, IN OUR KITCHEN, with his office discussing other projects with customer issues. He was obviously trying to get help as to how to cover their tracks. Several days later, due to the poor design of the transition piece and a sloppy installation, the vent transition was leaking badly. We called the credit card company and suspended payment.I called and requested a followup. The next appointment was two weeks later. When this THIRD team arrived, yet AGAIN unannounced , they applied a few strips of tape to cover the leak. REALLY??? The aforementioned crew chief rang the doorbell but did not even have the guts to come in my house. It seemed he was too busy outside yet again handling more customer complaints. My wife is extremely upset as the vent does not draw any better and we have shelled out over $500. I called Nick the owner, and discussed in detail the problems. He requested photos. I sent him photos immediately and suggested two resolutions. Refund my $150 upcharge for a non existent Ventahood or deliver a professional vent transition. He called me back and left a voice message that he would NOT remedy the situation. Instead he stated that he wanted to show up at our house and remove his jake leg vent transition. Again, REALLY??? We promptly called the credit card company and again, disputed the $150 upcharge. Citibank immediately credited our account for the $150, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. These guys must have a really bad track record to get that kind of immediate response from Citibank.Proceed at your own risk. You will be not dealt with in a professional manner. They will over charge and under deliver. Bait and switch.

My experience with Vent Craft was one of the worst I have ever had with a company. I do not normally write a lot of reviews but this experience was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others. We signed a contract with them for some work regarding a vent hood for a new range we were putting in. They could not finish the first day they came out because contractors we were also working with could not make it to our home do their part because of the ice storm that occurred in the area. At any rate, within 12 hours after Vent Craft left, we received three phone calls from them, primarily from Nick and Michelle, who I believe may be husband and wife and owners of the company. All of the phone calls were requesting payment for the work that had been done that day and all with a sense of urgency. The one message from Michelle even said that if we were not happy with the work Vent Craft had done that they would come and "undo" the work previously done. I thought all of this sounded desperate and inflammatory, especially since payment was supposed to be received after the job was complete and given the fact they were scheduled to come back out 4 days later to complete the job. At this point I called Vent Craft and talked to Michelle. I explained to her my concerns, that the job was not complete and that her message she left was uncalled for, as we had not indicated at all we were dissatisfied with any aspect of the job. I also told her my wife had returned one of the calls and she implied I was lying, saying she had not received a call from her (turns out my wife left the message with Nick, who evidently did not tell Michelle). After I paused for a moment Michelle, asked "Are you finished?" She then proceeded to gripe me out. I told her that I was a small business owner and that this was not the way to treat a customer. I went ahead and reluctantly agreed to pay her for the job done to that point and gave her a credit card number over the phone. A day or two later, my wife calls Vent Craft to firm up the time they are going to be back out to finish the job. Nick proceeds to gripe my wife out, telling her they have taken us off the schedule because I questioned whether I should be paying them before the job was complete. When my wife asked if he was going to communicate that to us, he simply said "No." His verbal abuse got so bad that my wife hung up on him. The only good news is that we got another vendor to finish the job for less that one half what Vent Craft was going to charge us. I would caution anyone considering using them to think twice. They may do a good job on the actual work, even though I am not even sure about that, but the rudeness and verbal abuse you may have to put up with if you disagree with them about anything is not worth it.

These guys are great! We had a difficult install - there was no way to vent the hood through the roof - we had to go through the pantry and under a staircase to reach an exterior wall. The first contractor would show up, then say we had the wrong parts. He even insisted we purchase a smaller diameter fan and duct which was not recommended for our stove and insisted the salesperson we purchased our appliances from sold us the wrong parts. The second vent "specialist" said it would fit but the 10" opening on the hood would have to be reduced in the shop in order for the ductwork to make the turn from the cabinet into the pantry. They eventually ghosted us. We finally called Vent Craft. Rick and his crew came out and looked it over, said it was difficult but could be done. When we told him which of his competitors bailed on us he was even more motivated. Rick started immediately, brought out 2 more crews and had the hood installed, the inline fan installed, a hole cut in the brick and ducted outside in under 3 hours. We were even able to use the original fan we were told wouldn't work. They didn't have to downsize the ductwork either - apparently when you really know what you're doing, you can make a duct turn in a lot of ways. Our vent hood sat in the garage for 6 months because we didn't call the right people until we called Vent Craft. Highly recommend!

I recently remodeled and luxury kitchen and purchased high-end subzero wolf appliances. I was given Vent a craft as a company to help me with connecting and realigning a new valve and they sent a team of four men extremely friendly and professional and most importantly very knowledgeable and they had everything done in 30 minutes that seemed very complex. They returned a few days later from my work that I called the man to install the actual event and they were able to drill through extremely thick quartzite against the wall and install a separate independent blower in the attic.Michelle in the office and Felipe managing the crew as well as Rick as their leader did an amazing job.

Vent Craft is such an amazing business. The guys came and installed my microwave AND made it vent to the outside through my brick. Caulked everything and taped all the joints. These guys are PROS. Do yourself a favor and support a family owned business.

I could not find a recent review, but asked Vent Craft in Carrollton, TX to come assess a vent issue of a kitchen cooktop hood.Wow! They understood the problem immediately. They were able to fix the issue in less than 45 minutes; which included most of the time in a 100 degree attic. My thanks!Would I recommend them again? Absolutely!Michael BDallas TX
