My Daughter has been trying to rent a 10x10 storage unit for almost 3 weeks!!!! We have gone there 4 times during office hours and it has NEVER been opened!!! We have called and only get an answering service… even giving email address and phone numbers from both of us and not one contact back from anyone!!!! Horrible customer service . Looks good on the outside! Do not go here. Carrollton location?

A place to store your property, but not a place to really spend much time organizing. Units are all inside, no gate makes it easier with less worry, climate controlled, not monitored, limited dollies, slow elevator, no bathrooms inside the storage area, staff has limited availability during business hours and really no presence-plan ahead of time to get a hold of staff, offsite manager, or to come into the office during office hours. The storage units are caged at the top but are open. The unit does not have a concrete ceiling. I have not had a problem, although this was a concern at first wondering if neighboring units or pests might access. Despite this, it is suitable for storage. There are often other people there, but it can seem hallow and vacated at certain times of the day. Not a huge concern at all, but be alert as no one is there. Although the corridors can seem long and easy to get lost, it isn't that hard to figure out.

Bought a storage unit at auction. The staff literally didn't know what they were doing. They were polite and helpful and somewhat prepared. Other than that, they just stumbled their way through the process of selling me the unit.

Do NOT rent a unit here!!! My storage unit keys have mysteriously stopped working TWICE now within the last 3 months - meaning someone is CHANGING the LOCKS on my unit just so they can charge me $30 for new locks.
I have never received a notice that said they changed my locks due to non-payment or policy violation, and even if that were the case, Texas law states that the company MUST issue a letter stating that they changed your locks and why / how to remedy the situation AND they need to offer you keys to your new lock either directly to you or via mail
Neither of these things happened and no one is answering the phone or in the building to let me back into my unit that I have paid for
I don’t even know if my belongings are still inside my unit since the lock changed and I can’t open it - so I am incredibly concerned
On top of that, the side of the building has been tagged/spray painted, there are literal homeless people LIVING and squatting in their units WITH CHILDREN, folks being loud and unruly/intoxicated, people urinating on the building, beer bottles left around the premises, elevator lights that don’t work, no one responding to the safety intercom … they have cameras but clearly they don’t work and/or no one is manning the building or maintaining it’s appearance and security
You’ve been warned… and someone from corporate needs to respond and get me access to my unit!

I went online to pay my bill and it showed $10 more than what I normally pay. I have emailed and called with absolutely no response. Now it's showing an extra $30 on top of that $10. No one answers or responds to any voice-mails or emails. I have been calling and emailing since March 30,2024. Today is April 4,2024. Edit: 4-5-2024 I am at the Carrollton location and it’s closed. No one answers the phone. I have reached out via email to whomever responded to this and they haven’t reached back out either. Edit 4-5-2024 I came back and it’s open. I’m not being given an answer as to why no calls were returned. No reason as to why emails went answered either. I am being told it shows in the computer I owe $282. Online it shows me $186 due to late fees. If I am attempting to make my payment,it’s showing more than what I normally pay, I’m calling,emailing with no response and it’s my fault that it’s late? Im being told that the only thing he can do is call the district manager? The same district manager that was supposed to call me back 3 days ago? This has smoker activity written all over it. Who just pays a bill with extra unknown fees just because? No, I deserve to know why. In the meantime, late fees will be continuously added.

Bait and switch! Rented in January at $169 March they raised the rate to $214.

Fine enough place, but pretty annoying to have your rent raised three months into renting a unit- immediately after the promotion pricing ended. Just be aware they put it in the contract that they can change their price at any time- and they will.

Storage King in Carrollton is very nice, neat & clean. Michele is so helpfulVery professional. She really knows her stuff. Easy access. Highly recommend. Great value for less price!
