UPDATE 1/20/23:We received refund in the mail and a representative called me today.UPDATE 1/19/23:Per the corporate response, I emailed the address provided below my contact information on 1/12/23 and 1/17/23 with no reply.It has now been 10 weeks since my mother passed away and no communication of when I will receive a refund.Original 1/4/23:My mother resided at one of Cantex’s facilities, The Harrison at Heritage this fall. I’m not going to speak to our care experience, but to the administrative follow up after she passed away. We paid the month in full, as requested, and she passed away on November 8th. I have yet to receive a refund from the company for remaining days of November we are owed. I was told the week of her death to expect a four week turnaround to close out and process the refund. I waited the allotted time and first contacted The Harrison at Heritage, where no update was given regarding a refund other than “they should be cutting the check this week”. When it wasn’t received, I then escalated to contacting Cantex directly. I’ve spoken to a Cantex rep over the last 3 weeks and each time the rep could not tell me when our refund would be processed. The only reason given to why we have not received a refund is they are understaffed. I called their office today to file a formal complaint. My initial call I was transferred to the Director of Revenue and received their voicemail. I called back and a different operator answered. I let them know I’d been sent to voicemail and I needed to speak with someone live on the phone about a refund to file a formal complaint. I was transferred to a different extension where I got voicemail again. The third attempt to call the office, no one in the operator pool answered my call.No family should have to work this hard to receive money owed to them.

I googled Cantex just to see if there was a location near where I’m moving. I worked at the Bel Air Teravista location for around 8 months as their painter. The people I worked with were very friendly and caring so I’m really surprised to read some of these other reviews. I’d continue working there if I wasn’t moving to another town.

I feel the need for everyone to be informed about this corporation. I am not going into a long post about everything I have experienced with two of their facilities. The staff does not work and usually can not be found. I have made a special effort to stay at both facilities to monitor my moms care. After I started making them do just the basic care. The staff went on crusade of verbal abuse and degraded me. Please do not put your loved through the abuse they will face. I have had to have Texas Health and Human Services come out to both facilities to educate them about the laws, guidelines and policy's they know nothing about.

HORRIBLE. They refuse to pay their local vendors for thousands of dollars of merchandise. A small business who went out of their way to provide anything and everything they needed is now going unpaid and ignored.

I was a nurse for a facility in Little Elm, I only work 4.5 days of training and haven’t received pay and it’s an entire month since my last day work.. Wasn’t pleased with the training/ orientation process. During training most times the nurses training me wanted me to be as an assistant to them instead of leaning the individuals them self, the computer system and the daily task for my shift ( just wanted me to collect vitals, blood sugars and give meds that they already had pop and I didn’t verify them myself through the EMAR) Not an environment I felt comfortable in or was taught properly so that I can be confident.Only lasted 4 days, DON said he’ll call me back but never did. Actually happy he didn’t, not at all a job worth keepingI’ve called numerous times to see what’s going on with my check and always asked for HR, and was only allowed to speak with Hailey the receptionist and last time I called Hailey told me that HR stated “she reached out to cooperate and will call me once she hears back from corporate regarding my pay” i’m just confused on what corporate has to do with rather or not I get paid. I work the hours there should be no discrepancy on me receiving a paycheck. Not sure what’s going on and the lack of professionalism

Disgusting company lowly tactics, stating one thing to patient family and providing false accounts of medical condition for Medicare/Medicaid so that you’re denied. Facilities tells us my mom needs long term care but then writes in her review file that she can walk. My mom is suffering because of this and they ignore us. The Finance department tries to strong arm you to pay what Medicare would have paid for if they would have been honest with the patients current state. This is a horrible money hungry company that doesn’t care at all for your family! Get everything in writing! Don’t let them tell you what to do you have more rights than just a number.

I have been with the Company for almost 6 months as the HR/Payroll manager at Park Valley Inn. We have a great team, and we are continuing to fill our open positions with great staff members. During the past 6 months our Nursing, Housekeeping, Dietary, Rehab and our Management Team has been working very hard together to ensure Residents and Staff members are being taken care of.
