They were very friendly and accommodating. They worked with me on a very quick check-in.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and the kitchen was adequately stocked.

We had our wedding at Canyon Lake Cabins and Cottages two weeks ago on 10/14/23 and let me tell y’all it was amazing!! We had family and friends from out of town and the bridal party stay at the cabins and they absolutely loved it! Even if you are not booking the venue and only want a get away this place is great! We got the venue for the whole weekend so we were able to have rehearsal dinner there, our wedding and a brunch on Sunday morning. So convenient! All the staff is so nice and helpful! We got Amanda as our coordinator for the whole weekend and she did an amazing job! She made the whole process less stressful. She just knows what she is doing. All my family and friends loved our wedding. If you are looking for a hill country wedding with lodging for out of town guests this Venus is it! Even if you don’t need the lodging and only need the venue it’s still beautiful. It’s so charming and Ioved all the beautiful lights at night. During the day is so beautiful too and cocktail hour was so nice! They also have a room full of decor that you can use for free and some other decor and linens to rent out so you won’t have to worry about looking for those vendors. You also get to choose your own vendors! I am so thankful my husband found this place! We prayed for a perfect venue and this one was it. We have no complaints. Also this place is pet friendly. Our fur baby got to be part of the wedding. We were able to also take him out to join us during reception and then take him back to the cabin. Some of our guest did the same thing for their pets too. It was awesome! Also we had about 115 guests and the floor plan we choose gave us plenty of room for a dance floor.. Thank you Amanda and all the Cabins and cottages staff for helping to make our day beautiful! My husband and I and all my family and friends loved our wedding!

I have stayed in thousands of hotels/motels over the years both domestic and abroad.In the last month I've stayed in several in the Texas Hill Country and I'm here to tell you that out of ALL of the Hill Country hotels/resorts that I (we) have stayed in over this last 4 weeks, we have discovered an absolute GEM!Canyon Lake Cabins and Cottages is the ONLY place I will be staying in this area from now on. I could go into the many details why, but I would simply be praising a standard list of impeccable amenities when the truth is it's a complete experience that I'm trying to relay here.You'd be very hard pressed to find any place anywhere EVER that will make you feel as comfortable, welcome and cared for as this untouchable facility.Please never change anything about Canyon Lake Cabins and Cottages because you cannot improve on perfection. Many Thanks and kudos. Keep plugging away as the sky is the limit here.

Nice overall place. More like an old school camp with pool, horse shoes, and kids play area. No business office for guests. No room service or guest services. We where only ones there. Highway noise in front cabins. No store or food services on premisses. With the right repairs, management and guest services, this place could be great.

The whole experience was fun....great view awesome front office people......perfect party areas......Bridal suite beds terrible....i couldn't sleep at all lumpy...bumpy....noisy crackling mattress noise each time ya move....tried the sofa bed in living room also very used and saggy lumpy....tried the fold over futon but so so hard....no pad or cushion to put on it to avoid the cracks of the folds so i finally just sat up on the sofa and tried to nap....we had swapped cabin 19 to 18 so the bride n groom got the better room for sure in 19....would ask for that one next time or check bed in another....the shower is SUPER small stand up narrow....not much room if you're a plus size person if so might want to bring your own hand held showerhead to reach the lower extremities....felt like an RV shower.......nice kitchen area and TV room...... The benches we sat on for the wedding were so narrow everyone in our group complained about their feet going numb cuz it cuts off circulation as you can hardly fit on the seat... even my thin friends complained. Everywhere else was good inside anf just outside the banquet room, kitchen and outside BBQ area was perfect....so the stars are for that.

Nice and quiet, they allow pets close to canyon lake and they have a pool. Lots of games to play with in site! We enjoyed it!

Want a fun wedding location that caters to family and provides a unique atmosphere. Canyon Lake Cabins & Cottages is a great venue, and perfect for destination type weddings. With beautiful views and wonderful accommodations this venue needs to be on your list if you are looking in the New Bruanfels / San Antonio area.

Although the wedding and the Venue were beautiful. The place, the cabins, are run down. The beds are horrible to the point I gave up on sleeping. I mean they had the whole pandemic to fix it up, power washing and paint/stain go a long way.

I only took a delivery here for some folks that were hosting an event at the venue here. The place is chill. There's a pool, some pretty big cabins, and a couple nice community hang out spots like playgrounds and barbecue spots.

We held our intimate wedding here and would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking for a place to hold their special event. It was everything that I imagined and more. They were so attentive and I was blown away by the small details that made our day extra special. Our entire family spent a fantastic weekend and can't wait to return!

My family and I had booked for two nights and when we got there I really wanted to like the place even though it needs some serious renovation. This was our first family vacation in two years so we were really excited for it! We had to leave a day early because the beds are so bad we couldn't sleep, there's no hot water for showers, tv is not compatible with a fire stick or Playstation, and the pool was swarming with wasps so my girls couldn't swim. This is not a lake front location so not having a pool for the kids in July heat was killer. I called the office the first day regarding the wasps and left a voicemail, which was never returned. I went to the office the next day after our day at the lake to see if there was a way to spray and the lady said they knew about the wasps but there was nothing they could do. I asked her if they had a can of bug spray and I could spray, she said they didn't. I walked back and the kids just wanted to swim, so we're driving home as I type this instead of sitting with my two year old crying for a pool she can't get in and we're looking forward to sleeping in a bed that doesn't feel like a very loud, deflated blow up mattress. What a waste of money. If we can't swim in the pool don't sell us that you have a pool.The one thing I will say is that whoever sets up and cleans the rooms does an amazing job. Our kitchen came with dishes, utensils, coffee pot with a few packets of coffee, plenty of towels. Very clean!

We love this place. We were married here in 2020 and one of our guests gave us a gift certificate for a two night stay as a wedding gift to come back for our anniversary. It was an amazing stay. This place is close to the lake and River Road and the staff is super friendly.
