Guys are always great and very friendly. If they do not have a particular item you get on a daily basis they will get it for you with no problem and do it with a smile.

It's my roommate that loves this HEB. I'm getting old and stuck in my ways. I love the HEB on University. But this one is great too.

Best little store in the Hill Country. The stock used to be so outdated under old ownership, now they restock and clean often and for a small country store you can’t beat the prices.

They have good live bait: about 2-3 inch bluegills great for catching striper, big mouth bass and catfish using large slip float set near bottom.

I used to stop here to buy minnows because the price was better than Red Top bait shop. But since the new ownership last year, the minnow prices have gone way up -- like 40% higher for large minnows compared to the previous owners. Plus they seem to skimp on putting enough oxygen in the bag so the minnows die quickly if you don't put them in your bucket soon after you buy them. Ask for separate bags for each dozen minnows and make sure they fill up the bag with air. I have gone there twice earlier this year. The last time I decided to go to Red Top. My new routine will be to hit Red Top first for minnows and then Longhorn if necessary.
