Received a hair cut from Paula today. I explained to her several times how I wanted my hair cut and my anxiety around previous hair cuts that had gone terribly. I showed her reference photos, as well as demonstrating with my hands how much I wanted cut off. Paula did not listen and cut my hair how she wished to, resulting in basically (in my opinion) the female equivalent of a bowl cut. Went home and cried about it, then returned to the salon twenty minutes later to request a refund (her rates are extremely high), only to experience the most combative customer service of my life. She spoke condescendingly and aggressively toward me and my mother. She also refused to stop speaking long enough to allow us to explain our side of the story to the manager she called over. Overall, she created a hostile environment and I intend on never returning to a JCPenny hair salon ever again. Beware of receiving a cut from Paula, she is also the salon manager.
Stylist: Paula. 0/10 stars if I could.

Paula provided a hair cut that was nothing like what was asked. Once home realized it was completely uneven, as well. Went to the salon to request refund but when trying to discuss with her she became loud and argumentative, refusing to stop talking long enough to listen. She called a manager and proceeded to lie about what was asked for. Adamantly refused a refund of any kind, multiple times. Beware of this person cutting your hair. She claims to be a master hairstylist but only has her own agenda.

I went in for a haircut a couple of days ago and saw Phyllis. I went in a mess, Phyllis corrected a terrible cut and made it beautiful. I'm so happy with how my hair looks and feels now. Thank you, Phyllis, for being so amazing and taking the time to make my hair right.

I've been going to Angelina at J.c. Penney's Hair Salon many many years. She's an excellent master of color and stylist. I only want her to do my hair. Angelina is a great friend and always so nice. She strives hard to please her clients. I highly recommend her to anyone!

I was shocked this store was still open. Since I hadn't been here in years I went in to shop for a loved one. These customer service reps or sales associates whatever their title may be were some of the rudest unhelpful group of people. They were literally avoiding me rather than to assist customers. The exception does not apply to the ladies in the juniors department who directed me to the women section. As bad as the customer service was this store should have closed years ago. No need to avoid me it will not be a next time that I try to shop there.

They are very kind, fun to be with. Took my sister to have her hair done. She has mental issues, and they were very patient and kind to my sister. My favorite salon.

JC penny at Fairview's manager is awful. I was telling him today that his supervisor had harassed me about a return and he ended up harassing me himself that my survey went to him about his meeting in the heat by the back door outside and that he was torturing his employees and they wanted to be outside. Totally stupid for the over priced ghetto he runs.

I scheduled to have my hair done at this location. I requested a balayage and haircut/blow dry service. When I go there and spoke with stylist Lisa I let her know my ultimate goal with the balayage was to help hide some areas of grey on top of getting a refreshing new look. Instead of getting the balayage she did a partial foil around my face. She put in maybe 8 foils and let them process for maybe 15 minutes. She then washed out and put toner on which wasn’t allowed to sit in my hair for more than a minute. She assured me this was going to give me the look I was going for.In regards to the hair cut I just asked that it not be too short. She cut off maybe half an inch of my hair and didn’t even work to add in the layers. She then started styling my hair. She added no product to my hair and just used a blow dryer and then started using a large curling iron and curling my hair after I specifically said I did NOT want my hair curled. When she was done my hair was frizzy and honestly besides the curl which I hated I looked exactly the same as when I came in.I am so very disappointed in the service that I received. I understand that the hairstylist was hungry since her food was delivered during my appointment, however I scheduled service that I knew would take 2+ hours and I was shuffled out the door after 45 minutes.Needless to say I will not be going back here ever again and I recommend that people don’t go back here.Services: Haircut

I got a watch as a gift from this JCPenney with their Care Plan. The watch was a bit fast on keeping time so I wanted to call and see if that would be covered by it. I called the Fine Jewelry 3 times and no one answered neither did the Operator when I called them. I called the JCPenney on Cooper Street in Arlington and they answered and were able to answer my question. On top of that awful display of customer service the store itself has clear evidence of water leaks and tarps hanging from the ceiling to catch the drips from the stained ceiling tiles and has been that way for months.

I am never one to complain, I believe that everyone, even businesses, have off days and that shouldn't punish for an otherwise great track record. This, however, was a train wreck.First, my appointment was at 3, planned 2 weeks in advance and confirmed multiple times via portal and phone. When I arrived, the stylist had just gone to lunch and I had to wait 30 minutes. Fine. Things happen, that's why I picked an earlier hour.I was there for a color touch up. My natural color is blond, however my hair was currently an Irish red. I wanted to go back to blond, but red is very hard to change, so after talking to the stylist, we decided that a good method would be to step down the color at the roots in phases until it was to a point where it could easily transition into blond. Great! We brought out a book of color swatches, found the one that matched my current color and what would be the next step lighter. After a little more deliberation, she went to go mix up the color. When she returned, the dye looked a bit odd, but I didn't think anything of it.The dye was applied, put under the dryer, and then taken to the sink to rinse out. She stepped aside while I was at the sink to check on something and apparently forgot about me.For 2 hours.Just in case you're not familiar, those sinks that you lean back in are not the most comfortable. The curve of the bowl presses into the back of your neck, and after two whole hours, I was left with bruises down my neck from it.Finally she seemed to remember, made some vague excuse, put a conditioning mask in (that I did not request but was charged for) and wandered off for another 30 minutes. It's now approaching 7pm at this point. Again, I showed up at 3pm.I was finally taken to the chair to finish up, and the dye looked a bit... dark. Odd, because we were going for lighter, but again I trusted she knew what she was doing and it would look better once my hair was dry. At this time, the salon was closing and the receptionist came to collect payment. This was before I'd even seen the end result and she didn't verify the charges with me. After payment was made, the stylist said my hair needed shaping and was going to trim it up. She cut off 3 inches all around, which was not a 'trim up'. Luckily the cut itself is very cute so I'm not too upset with that part. When she finally dried my hair, it was not the color we had decided on. Instead of a step or two lighter in the same shade of red, she had dyed it a medium burgundy. It was very purple.I questioned her on this and she said that she decided that my hair was 'too orange' and that this color would be better. It was not. I do not have the complexion for that shade, and it looked unnatural and patchy. I also had dye stains all over my face and neck and frankly I could have done a tidier job at home with a $7 box kit. At least I would have gotten closer to the right color. It was nearing 8pm and the store had been closed an hour. There were no managers to speak to, my payment was already taken and their system was shut down. I had been there FIVE hours. For a single-step root touch up that was done wrong. So I left and contacted customer service to inquire on how to fix this.Customer service told me that since a service had been rendered, there was nothing they could do. Even though it was completely wrong and awful all around.I want to put that into perspective. Yes a 'service was rendered' but imagine that you go to a steak house, you order a steak, you even pick it out of the nice butcher cabinet. They take your money, seat you and tell you they're cooking up your steak. And then you wait five hours. When they finally come out with your meal, the kitchen is closed and instead of a steak they've brought you a cold bologna sandwich instead. When you try to say this isn't what you asked for, you ordered and paid for a steak, the response is "we can't help you, you came here to be fed and we fed you." Except you have to wear this bologna sandwich because

This was like Amateur hour, disappointed in the two people working there, the lack of updates generally speaking, and the level of service provided.
