“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cabins are somewhat rustic but they include everything we needed and are a good value. Really nice location.Rooms: There are 8 cabins with 4 different sizes/layouts. Several of the beds are standard double beds, which is fine for children or small adults but really can't comfortably sleep 2 tall and/or large adults. Most of the kitchens are small but pretty well-equipped.Noteworthy details: Good cell signal but no wifi. The pool is not heated so isn't really usable in winter and spring.”

“Very quiet place to stay at an affordable rate. The owners are on-site and we’re always helpful. I stayed here for two months while I relocated and purchased a new house. The area has a beautiful drive too. They have daily, weekly, and mouthy rates. I never had any issues with anyone or anything. They do good keeping the shenanigans down to zero here and I appreciate that. It’s worth the drive and just minutes away from the nearest city.”

“The Antlers Inn was a great place to stay in Kingsland! We stayed in the Casita and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, cozy and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch and enjoying some wine. The location was great and in walking distance to two great restaurants. The staff, Brett, was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend staying here if visiting Kingsland.”

“We took our first camping trip in our Airstream this weekend. After a week in a State park, we arrived at Valentines on Thanksgiving Eve. We were pretty worn out from driving 5 hours from our last campsite and had called 12 restaurants in Kingsland to find a meal that we didn’t have to cook at such a late hour. I called and asked Pat if she knew any restaurants open on Thanksgiving Eve. She insisted that we come to her home for leftovers from a humongous meal that she and many, many friends had cooked earlier. She brought us 3 heaping plates of every kind of homemade ham, turduckin, casseroles, cornbread, potatoes, cranberry relish, green beans and a heaping plate of 5 different desserts. Pat and Susan are the #1 hosts of any type of RV park we have ever been to. They went out of their way (on a holiday) to make sure we had everything we needed to get settled in. Their kindness and willingness to help will never be forgotten and will be paid forward, I promise! All this was in addition to the most gorgeous spot on the lake with manicured lawns and many many places to sit and enjoy the lake, right in front of you. The cabins are also wonderful, as we had 16 family members staying in cabins. They are very well stocked, clean, comfortable and cozy. When you visit Valentines Lakeside, it doesn’t feel like you are staying in a resort…it feels like home! We will definitely be going back many, many times to enjoy this slice of paradise. I will never be able to express my gratitude and respect for Susan and Pat.Frannie and Gabe V.Wimberley, Tx.”

“Wonderful memories of being here a number of years ago. It was beautiful then, it's still beautiful now. Still can't imagine the place without Denise there, but others have said that the new owners are taking very good care of the place and all of their guests as well. Best of luck! I'll be back one of these days and stay again. :)”
