At the time I went in there, Mike's advertised their "full service" meat counter. I asked for porterhouse steaks 1.5" thick and they wouldn't cut them. Never said why, just pointed to the meat counter and told me "that's what we have." Steaks that were poorly marbled and only .75" thick. I passed. Hope they've improved their "full service" and attitude since.
