The folks here are wonderful, very personable and helpful (unlike their Berkeley counterparts). They have a gigantic selection, including many genres that most places don't carry anymore. The staff is not only very friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. The music they place is often quite intriguing. This is a wonderful place to spend some time.

Mr.Music is an amazing place however one day I went to buy just ONE reed a baritone sax one. A box of Bari reeds is around 30 dollar and each box has 5 reeds so if you divide 30 by 5 it’s 6 dollars for one Reed. So they want to make profit so the reed should be 8 or 9 dollars but NOT 12 dollars for ONE REED! This is very wrong! Unfortunately, Mr.Music is the only place here in Brownsville to buy reeds when one really needs one! Overall, the pricing for the reeds is very high other than that it’s a very amazing place for business!
