My husband went into Brookshire in Jan 2023. It's an older facility but an incredible staff, and the nurses are great and caring. He was a veteran and the VA paid 100% of his care. Incredible blessing all around.

It’s an old building but the staff have been there for years and you can tell they’re there because they genuinely love the people they care for. Highly recommend.

Thanks so much to the very caring and compassionate staff at Brookshire Residence and Rehab Center. From the nursing staff to the Director of Business Development, and to the Social Worker, my mother was treated as one of the family. My heart is full of respect for the quality and quantity of care that staff members demonstrate to their residents. Additionally, family members are kept well informed of the daily needs and progress of their loved one.

No one available to answer phone calls. Staff can’t speak English and get me all worried about my dad when they’re only trying to tell me they’ve changed his ointment. Currently trying to call for the tenth time today and still no answer.....

My Momma needed physical therapy after her hospital stay so I took a tour of the facility and was very impressed with the atmosphere and cleanliness. The staff was polite but continued on with their jobs which was a big plus with me. My Momma was admitted then a few days later had to return to the hospital due to a medication reaction. They had everything taken care of and her on her way to the hospital within 15 minutes she was out and on her way. She returned again from the hospital and they were doing an amazing job taking care of my Momma once again. Momma took a turn for the worse and they were with me and had everything in place very quickly for me to be able to get her on Hospice and keep her comfortable for her last days. They allowed me to stay with her and for our family to come in and see her. The staff is absolutely amazing and truly care about their residents. They do everything to their best abilities to care for them. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone for their Loved ones. They have a special place in my and my families hearts. Thank you to everyone.

My family member spent the better part of the last 4 years at this facility. They were actually recommended by staff at another facility in Katy that just was not very good. I never had an issue with the staff or administration. They were always very accommodating and did little things to make this place feel better. The Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners were always a good time. The nurses were great to my family member, but she did not require so much attention. The PT staff also took care of anything that they were tasked with at the facility.During COVID I received multiple calls every week with updates about the facility, staff and patients. They would even call on the weekends. At the end of my family member's life they were extremely tentative to what was going to happen. The staff would arrange Face Time calls so we could see each other many times in those final weeks.I remember when this place before the renovations and I was not willing to allow my family member to be placed there at first. After a visit I saw what they had done to improve the place and bring it along to other facilities in the area.

I don’t know what that 1 star person was talking about. (Was this a competitor?).We had my mother in-law there at Brookshire this year until she passed away at almost 97 years old peacefully in her sleep. The handling during this Covid 19 made us feel she was very safe. The caregivers were exceptionally nice and patient with her. Anytime we had any questions or needed something special they didn’t EVER act like we were annoying them and acted to help in any way we needed. Great people.

I had my wife at this facility for Rehabilitation before going home. I am very happy with the experience. Staff was attentive and responsive, Therapy was excellent. The food and environment was great, no issues of smells or poor food quality. Managers were courteous and informative spending as much time as needed to explain different aspects of the care there.
Thank you

I came here a few weeks ago as a volunteer. The staff was very friendly. I noticed when I walked in that there was a cute looking salon for the residents and an updated physical therapy room. It was also a pleasant surprise that the place smelled fresh-- not your typical "nursing home" stench. All in all -- seemed like a clean, decent place.
