I’d give them zero stars if I could. I used Bridgeport FF for almost a year after moving to Texas from Alberta, Canada. I had never experienced issues with a bank before but this has been a nightmare.Applying for a debit and credit card took forever. Then I couldn’t use the app to deposit cheques for a while because of a company policy. I couldn’t access my credit card statements on the app, I had to use a different website that is not user friendly at all.When I moved back to Canada I emailed the bank to close my US account, cancel my cards and wire my money to me. The lady I contacted ignored two emails over a week. I called the number for the branch listed on google and it went to automated prompts that got me nowhere. Finally after multiple phone calls and trying different numbers listed online I was able to thankfully get in contact with a lady who closed my account and wired my money quite quickly. The lady also (accidentally) told me that the employee I was trying to contact earlier had been at work during the time I was emailing her.Two months later I got a credit card statement with money owing. Someone used my credit card to create an American netflix account which meant that the card hadn’t been cancelled. Now I have to dispute the charge and possibly pay the bill which is much easier said than done when you no longer have US funds and they can’t accept Canadian chequing information or credit cards. Thankfully there were no other purchases on the credit card but all of this is because FF didn’t do their job and close the account in the first place.To top it all off I have a Canadian phone plan again so I’ve had to pay over $50 in phone fees calling American numbers to try fix this mess.Do not bank here!!!

Their website malfunctions quite often. It will suddenly be lacking transactions for the last day or more, or sometimes the balance total will be way off. It's very frustrating when you're trying to pay bills and you KNOW that you have the money, and yesterday you SAW the money in your account, not pending but really there, and then log in the next day and no record of your check or the two transactions that have already happened since that check was there. You know the money is there, but without seeing it you don't feel safe to pay your bills, and so you just have to wait for the next day because it usually straightens out on it's own, so at least there's that.

This bank is crooked. Somehow I owe them money for late fees every week. I dont have an overdraft. Because of this reason. But still they find someway with no explanation to me. They just tell me they don th have any control. Changing banks after the first. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone that works hard for their money and wants to keep it.

Love this bank. They are always helpful and really care about their customers. You can get a debit card on premises and they have loans and wealth management accounts. It is a Texas Bank but they are associated with some other Banks for ATM privileges.
