I only gave it 1 star because I needed to reply. I would have given it a zero if I had my own choice. If you live in Breckenridge Texas and you don't have a love affair with cats then you better not live in Breckenridge Texas. Cats roaming the street like leafs on a windy day.

This is the worst shelter I have ever stepped foot in. These animals are not cared for properly. I know animal shelters smell but this one was just horrible. The so called staff there are unfriendly and seem to care less if the animals get help or are adopted. The cats eyes were matted with infection I was told they get eye drops 2 times a day. That’s a bunch of bs. If that was the case the infections would be gone. Especially as I was told some of those cats had been there for years. Those are the ones that looked the worse. You should be ashamed of yourself for not caring for those animals properly. And the cats are not on the website.. so how can they be adopted??? No one knows they exist. This made me ill.

Brought some stray cats and kittens to drop off and the shelter would not take them. She told me to just them lose and hopefully they might make it. One of the cats is pregnant. Told her I can't afford to have them all fixed and she goes awe well. Don't know what to tell you. To me that is cruelty to animals. They call themselves a animal shelter.
