I was visiting family in Boerne and they wanted to buy chicks for their family. We joined them, it was fun to see the variety of chicks. Since we don’t have these types of stores in Hawai’i, it was fun to explore. This store is super clean and organized.

I've been raising chickens for a while now, and every year we get about 6 new babies. I've never bought from Strutty's, but they had the breed we wanted in faster than my normal place (we are going on vacation), so I bought 10 chickens from them. 4 days later and 6 are dead.I have never lost a chicken, ever. Which I know there is a chance to lose 1 or 2. But 6 out of 10 dying in 4 days! When I called to let them know there may be a problem with their supplier, I was told "this sometimes happens because they are very fragile at this age". Ma'am, I know chickens. I've raised alot of chickens. 6 dying in 4 days is not a common occurrence. Save your money.

Had to seek out help, the young guys at the cash register basically stand there till you ask specific questions. Their prices are higher than Tractor Supply and they are limited in some ranch or farm feed and supplies.

I purchased a 50-pound bag of the Strutty's branded corn from the feed store, and I must say I was extremely disappointed with my purchase. When I brought the bag home, I noticed that it had been taped closed, which was already a red flag. Upon further inspection, noticing the bag seemed lighter than the others, I weighed the corn and realized that the bag was missing 3 pounds of corn. While not a "significant" amount, it left me feeling quite unsatisfied with the overall quality and integrity of both the store and the product. I expected better from Strutty's and this experience has made me reconsider future purchases from them.
