I had tried taking piano lessons before as a young child, but didn't care much for the teacher, had difficulty learning, soon lost interest and ended up quitting after a couple of months. Quite a few years have come and gone since then and I wasn't sure whether it would be worth the time and trouble to start over as an adult. Suzanne, the owner/instructor at Infinity Music Studio, was more than willing to help me out as well as accommodate my unpredictable and hectic work schedule. Making the decision to start back taking piano lessons again, after all these years, has proven to be such a wonderful and worthwhile experience for me. During my first lesson, Suzanne had me start out by trying to sight read some sheet music and play some fingering exercises. She was immediately able to identify my problem areas and correct some poor habits I was unaware of. I've been taking lessons from Suzanne for just over a year now, and my sight reading and fingering technique, along with my confidence level has greatly improved. I have now reached the level where I am working on much more advanced pieces than I ever imagined I could even begin to tackle only a short year ago. Not only that, but I am also in the process of preparing for my first public recital. Just like all personal endeavors that you decide to undertake, you definitely reap what you sow and get out of it exactly what ever amount of effort that you put into it. Suzanne is very willing to go above and beyond to help you understand music concepts and make progress. Nothing pleases her more than to see you seriously put forth the required effort to learn and never giving up, making improvement and doing well with your music studies - and that really helps to boost my personal confidence level - not to mention that it pleases me greatly as well. Suzanne is always so patient and encouraging whenever I hit a rough spot and has the ability to break things down into a simplified manner that someone like me can more easily understand. Her private lesson rates are very affordable, reasonably priced and accommodating too, both of which I consider being very important for a busy and budget-conscious person like myself.
