First I want to say I really like this clinic. The Doctors and Staff are awesome. What my concern is how you have to make an appointment. They use a waitlist system that in my opinion is totally customer unfriendly. They don't take appointments so you have to on line and join a list that can sometimes make you wait and tie up an entire waiting to be seen. If you work you can't plan around an appointment or you go on a weekend and tie your entire day. There should be a way to do both. Other than that I recommend the clinic highly. But they are not easy to work with.

So I have not actually taken a pet to this clinic to be completely transparent but I was going to, until I got a price estimate... I set an appointment to neuter my rabbit who is a tiny dwarf rabbit. Technically rabbits are considered "exotic" so it can be a little more to see a vet for them which I expected. My normal vet said it would be about $200 for the procedure plus medication etc. but they were booked way out so I was looking for something sooner. I made the appointment and asked for the estimate which they emailed. OH MY GOD. It was $180 for the procedure alone plus various medication and sedative charges wracking it up to a low end price of just under $600. The high end price was almost $900. The take home meds were a whopping $100 on their own! I called another vet and was told $250 and made an appointment with them instead. I don't know how they justify that pricing.

A great experience at Belton Small Animal Clinic. We were from out of town and our 15 year old Labrador was very sick. We put ourselves on the website waitlist and had an appointment in the clinic within an hour. The vet, Dr Surber, was excellent and very detailed. In no time she had diagnosed and supplied medications to help remedy our Daisy's problems. Staff was sympathetic, courteous and helpful

Warning for Pet Owners: Untrustworthy and Dishonest Pet Clinic As a deeply disappointed and heartbroken pet owner, I feel compelled to share my distressing experience with this pet clinic, which has left me questioning their integrity and commitment to providing honest and compassionate care for our beloved animals. Upon my cat's recent visit to the clinic for hospitalization following an emergency surgery (the surgery took place elsewhere), I was shocked to discover that his left leg was swollen to twice its normal size when I came to take him home. The veterinarian, who initially tended to my cat, candidly explained that this condition occurred due to a dislodged IV catheter, causing fluid accumulation in his leg. She told me not to worry as his body would simply absorb the fluid, but seeing his leg so swollen made me feel inclined to later reach out to the director of the clinic with several concerns. To my disbelief, the clinic staff later concocted a completely different narrative, falsely claiming that I brought my cat to them with his leg already swollen. This outright lie not only reflects a lack of accountability but also betrays the trust and confidence I placed in this clinic to provide competent and truthful care. The inconsistency in information didn't end there. Unfortunately I had to bring my kitty back to the clinic a second time when I realized he opened his sutures and it looked to be infected. The vet informed me he had to undergo a debridement surgery that day because of the condition of the surgical incision. She informed me he'd have to go home with a cone collar to prevent him from opening his sutures again. When I asked further about the cone collar, the vet told me the need for the second surgery could have likely been avoided if he went home with a cone collar the first time. I want to emphasize that the vet never said this 100% could have been avoided, but because there was a possibility my cat could have avoided this second surgery and prolonged pain and discomfort, I was furious. Until now, no one ever informed me about the necessity of a cone collar prior to this visit, and that he would have been better protected from infection and opening his incision if they sent him home with one the first time. When I raised these valid concerns with the Director, I was met with resistance and defensiveness, rather than an acknowledgment of their mistakes. She continued to share a false narrative explaining that the technicians must have told me about it. After acknowledging they didn't give me written instructions for care at home at the first visit to the clinic, the director explained the technician must have verbally explained the importance of a cone collar, to which I said she did not. She refused to acknowledge the oversight of her staff and the resulting suffering of my sweet cat and the financial burden placed on me. It is deeply concerning that this clinic would resort to dishonesty and defensiveness to avoid responsibility for their actions, instead of striving for transparency and genuine care for their patients and their owners. I entrusted my beloved cat's well-being to this clinic, and I am appalled by the blatant lack of ethics displayed throughout this ordeal. In light of my distressing experience and the clinic's evident lack of honesty, I can no longer trust them with my precious pet's care. I urge all pet owners to consider the consequences of entrusting their beloved animals to this clinic and to carefully weigh the alternatives before making such a crucial decision.

if I could give zero stars I would. It was a good place about 4 or 5 years ago. But it's horrible now. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's all about prolonging your pet's suffering just so they can make more money knowing we will do anything to save our pets. That's exactly what they did for my dog, prolong his suffering and sold me other unneeded items at a high cost. Example of high prices like the Cushings medication Vetoryl, I first paid a little over 200 dollars for 30 day supply 60mg then found it online at PetCo for 117 dollars. Of course they started selling it to me for the same price as PetCo. You know darn good and well they are still making a huge profit. Especially at what they were selling it to me before. Did my dog get any better, no he did not sadly, he is only getting worse. One of the visits they said his teeth look good, then the next visit they said he needed to have his teeth cleaned at the cost of 900.00 dollars. When I mentioned this then they decided against it and that his teeth looked fine. I spent well over 4000.00 dollars just to prolong my beautiful dogs suffering and I wanted so badly to make him better. But again, it's all about the money and not our pets! He is more than worth the money and it would have been worth spending that kind of money and money well spent if they truly cared about helping my irreplaceable dog Harley. But they actually don't care about making my dog or anyone else's better. When you tell them what's going on with him it falls on deaf ears. He's at a point to where I may have to put him to sleep. But I don't want too. He keeps falling just walking thru the room or walking outside and he can't get up by himself. He's peeing and pooping in the house now something he has never ever done before and he falls in it after doing so. I'm struggling about the decision to do it. I'm heartbroken, but I don't want him to continually suffer because I don't want to let go. But yet they still want me to bring him in to so they can give him a sim test to check his cortisol levels. You've been warned, please I implore you, don't take your pet there, they truly don't care!!!!! Also one more thing. They sold me some way over priced dental treats. At around 75.00 dollars. It made him and one of my other pets sick. One threw up and the other one got diarrhea shortly after eating one. I spoke on the phone to the veterinarIan and told her this and she said bring them back and we will refund your money. I did so and the office staff was obnoxious and rude and told me they can't refund my money, there's no notation in the records. They spoke to the veterinarian and came back out to the waiting room and told me to contact the company for a refund. So on top of not caring in the least about your pet, they are liars!!!!

It use to be good until a corporation bought it, now it's about money we paid $4,000. For CCL surgery that didn't take, I paid my new vet $4,000 for the surgery and my dog is doing great and he is no longer in pain. Guaranteed his surgery too.

Also took my sweet cat who has has so many health issues there who did pass away but staff was nice and allowed me st spend her last minutes with me and explained her end of life procedure. This staff is so understanding and patient with me as I grieved.

The absolute worst place to take your animals. I have 2 English bulldogs. One with lifetime allergy issues. When I was a new customer, I had no issues. Now they scam you. Refuse to give them their prescriptions. Specifically his allergy meds. REALLY?? They are very rude and don't care about your pets health. They care about how much they can scam from you. I have not been here long but I have had enough of their BS. Everything is scam you to pay office visits for lifetime meds that don't require visits. They screw you by refusing meds to you pet. I need his allergy Medicine today. They told me I need to bring him in. Uuhhh, no I don't. I never had to for the last 8 years. They refused his meds. I asked to speak with a manager. Today is Friday. They told me the manager will call me back Monday. WTF??? All they want is for you to come there. Sit for 5 hours and feed off of your bank accounts for zero reason. They DO NOT DO APPOINTMENTS so you literally spend your entire day waiting to get into a room then another day of waiting to be seen. Their medication is in house and they guage you severely on pricing. Never again. I learned my lesson. Heed my warning

Been using this Veterinary Clinic since 1994, but it's changed hands three time due to retirement of Dr Palm to Dr Hankins and now not sure who owns. Has 5 Veternarian's. Went to them 3 weeks ago with our Brittany with 2 Lipomas that needed to be removed, Dental clean and x-rays, an injured old fracture to front ankle that he injured back in Sept when we were hiking in Idaho. So we set up Surgery for week ago Tue. A week after initial Visit he was have pain so took him back in as his anal glands were dry and impacted. Got that taken care of and wanted to see him back to redo them today when they did a post op checkup. I also had X-rays from a clinic up in Ft worth send them the 2014 X-rays as wanted them to compare from before we adopted him in 2014 from BRIT. so went online to get follow up apt today as we leave for NE Tx in morning (we sold our home here 3.5 yrs ago and workamp). Got appt. For approx moon, so headed there and they said would be another 1.5 hours so let them know I was pressed for time as we were finishing up a floors remodel and I had lots to do. They would only keep him if I had him totally revaccinated (He was vaccinated in Colorado last year with 3 yr Rabies and had his DHLP up in Montana this summer, so I took him with me and locked him in our diesel PU and left it running. So I got a salad to eat and pulled back into their parking lot and put online that o had arrived for appt. at 1:30pm I went in and sat till about 2:50pm. Then tech came in and went over that wanted vet to check incisions, as I could take them out at 12-14 days. Also needed Anal glands done again, wanted Vet to review and compare the old x-rays of his ankle to ones they did last week and get some long term pain meds to give him as needed. I expressed to her at that time that I was real pressed for time and our situation. I sat there with NO further communication for anyone in their office till 4:10pm, so I finally just had to leave as due to a storm and rain, we had to move the RV our from our friends farm, we had 5:30 dinner engagement and our diesel truck with groceries had been running since Noon! All the receptionist could say is sorry. Not let me see if someone can see you right away! Just kinda a half a**** sorry! They took $230. first appt, $126. 2nd appt and $1,175. for surgery, dental and X-rays. Guess I am not an important enough client, so will take my business elsewhere. Never had to wait 5+ hours to be seen. Appears they are way overbooking and the emergencies had them way off schedule.

The staff is really friendly. However, the process of getting an animal seen/treated is ridiculous. Tried to make an appointment and was informed they only take walk-ins at this time due to COVID. I was directed to their online check-in to get in line to be scene. I am now 5 hours into registering. Was sent a text message stating we were next in line and to head to the clinic. At this time I have been sitting in the wait room 2 hours past that notification. To say I am annoyed is an understatement! Management sincerely needs to reevaluate their process as I am sure I am not the only one dissatisfied and will be on the hunt for another vet.

I wouldn't recommend bringing your animals to this clinic terrible service, Rude staff we brought out dog for an emergency and they denied our service because it wasn't considered emergency service while other vet offices considered an emergency situation.

EDIT: After 6 or so phone calls they agreed to fill a weeks worth. Still unhappy with the way it was handled. I'm not normally the type of person to write a negative review of a place. But this is a special kind of exception. My 15 year old dog has disk degeneration and has been on pain medication long term. The vet we went to go see was very understanding of the fact that this is a quality of life issue and would give us 6 months worth of his medication to make it easier for us. Well, we're going on vacation this week and I called at the beginning of last week to get his medication filled. They told me okay 24-48 hours. 3 days go by and I call again, they say 24-48 hours. Well I called today, 2 days before we leave for our trip and they're refusing to fill it for him until he has blood work because they're not "sure why he would be taking it." I explained that we're leaving and he's been taking this medication every day for the last year and that he needs it for pain management and they STILL WONT FILL IT, not even a weeks worth. I'm changing vets. I can't believe the negligence. I have no words for how disappointing this is because I thought we had finally found a vet that would be accommodating to my special needs dog.

Our dog Woody loves this place. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The Dr's are great and staff is wonderful. Good prices for boarding and grooming. It can be very busy so some patients is required while they handle all the customers.
