Wonderful service and superior quality food.This is a really special place to stop, we highly recommend.Everything was handmade and the portions are huge. We started with the street corn and chicharrones which were freshly fried up and still cracklin when they hit the table. The homemade sangria was phenomenal. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich and it took up the whole plate. I got the fried shrimp plate and they were not shy with the shrimps. They were juicy, fresh and perfectly fried.

Delicious! The best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had in my almost 40 years on earth all living in Texas! They fry a ribeye and not cheap steaks. It is good local steak. Very friendly service. Great place! Not cheap but worth every penny. Real Sangria too!

Had the ribeye chicken fried steak with fries and a salad and it was delicious ! Wife had the fried fish and it was very good ! Great friendly service and Charlie took good care of us ! Five stars!

What a great experience to find this place. This came recommened to us from U-Bar Wines and it didn't dissapoint. The witty bus boy Charlie and his wife run a really special place here. We stopped in scouting it for a future clar club cruise-in. It made the list. The Westenders Car Club will be stopping by soon.We ordered the fried mushrooms. They were huge, a meal in itself. I had the BLT with the most bacon I have seen and my wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic.If you blink you'll pass it on your way to somewhere else. Be sure to stop in.
Dietary restrictions: This is not a place where you come to enjoy your current diet. This is for your cheat day.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken fried chicken and mash potatoes, excellent. For dessert, the homemade apple pie. It was sooo dam good. Great home style cooking. It's definitely a place to try.

Our go to spot for a great family experience. This family owned restaurant is one of a kind with fresh made food with local ingredients. Their fried green tomatoes are to die for. You can't go wrong with the Cochran General Store.
