After paying inside (so as not to get a hold put on to my funds), somehow, the employee that was working set off the alarm. This stopped the pumps working, but Murphy's still pulled the money from my bank account. After going back several hours later and noticing that the funds have not been returned to my bank account, I stood there after trying to get a receipt so I could call customer service. And I was told "yea I can't find the transaction." So I get no gas at Murphy's, which takes $55 out of my account. The employee could not figure out what to do or how to find the receipt. The manager was called by the assistant manager, who was there and kept telling me that it was just a hold after I prepaid within the store, the hold only happens when you pay at the pump. I was told that I needed to call customer service because they didn't know what to do.
Half the time, the managers and employees alike do not apply the points that you asked for them to apply, and there's regularly an issue with transaction situations such as this. The management (outside of the main manager) is about as clueless as the new hires that they leave alone so quickly, and the management is very reluctant to come in to deal with these types of situations. When they get good employees, the customers hear how they're not treated well, so good employees are basically run off by the poor management. Then again, this is a regular occurrence from managers at Walmart and other corporate ran businesses in Beeville.

They can place a $175 hold on your card when you get gas. For many this could break your budget and make it so other bills do not get paid on time while you wait for the release of funds. It only costs me around $40 to fill up.

Site online says opens at 5:30 but didn’t open until around 6:08 so I waited 20 to 25 minutes for them to get here and open up

If this company feels it can't trust it's employees to make judgement calls and feels the need to card 50 year olds who are trying to cash in scratch offs, then it doesn't need my business. Stupid policies. I for one would rather go to a store that respects my age (obvious age) and doesn't waste my time asking for an ID.

They never have my cigarettes and the manager won't order them. I drive 25 miles over there and it really makes me mad!

This gas station is right around the corner from my house and very convenient and the employees are always so nice until this morning. The same cashier has seen my ID 20 different times for lottery, mind you I go to this store atleast once a day. The other cashiers have carded me once or twice but now are smart enough to remember me. Well this morning I was aggravated because I had to go back to my car for my ID and then stand in line again. Side note I'm almost 41 years old. When I reached the front of the line for the second time I informed her that she had seen my ID 20 times, thats when a very rude im assuming manager said to her remind me to give you a gift card for carding. Wow, so much for customer service. I'll find a new convenient store.

The female there is rude, coming out of work I was tired like to argue, she should be fired. PS, don't get gas there, better options around the corner I realized all late.

Don't know if other people have noticed this.
I went to Murphys to fill up today. I still had gas in my car (less than a quarter tank), and the pump said I put in 24 1/2 gallons. My car only has a 22 gallon tank.
I brought it up to a friend that works at the Wal-Mart so he took his motorcycle that has a 2 1/2 gallon tank. Again with gas in his tank (but close to empty) it said he put just over 3 gallons.
The low price pulls you in, but you are paying for more gas than you are getting. Depending on how much gas you put they are more expensive then going to a place that is charging 10 or 15 cents more a gallon.

Not always a lot to say about Gas Stations. This one is a "Stripes" branded location off Highway 181. We were heading back to Rockport from Beeville and just stopped by to fill up with gas. When you pay at the pump what you are looking for is a relatively clean and safe environment with an overhand in case its raining. A pump that works with reasonably priced gas and a printed receipt. This place really did well except the receipt would not print. I had to go inside to get the receipt which was not that big of a deal. But the entire point to a Pay at the Pump is convenience and not being required to go inside.

Always a nice and friendly place to buy cigarettes or gas or just a snack. Always clean on the inside and out. The cashiers are always alert and they get you in and out quick. My one stop shop. Keep up the great job ya do.
