Dr cook is a very unprofessional unhinged man and needs his license taken away. If he can’t properly do his job as a DOCTOR that is a red flag. These one star reviews aren’t for fun. These are real people that experienced real trauma from him.

My encounter with Dr. Cook was extremely strange and unprofessional to say the least.
Dr. Cook began by asking me if I was in a relationship. I replied “yes”, he then asked the normal female health/activity questions. I was making small talk and mentioned I have a child from my partners first marriage. Dr. Cook asked how old she was and I said “10”. To which he replied “my god how old is your partner”. I said “17 years my senior”. Without hesitation he responded with “oh so issues with your father”.
This was not the only inappropriate comment made. When listening to my heart, Cook made an alarming comment about my breast augmentation looking amazing. He said “and hey you’re still on the pole so they are paying off”.
He asked me if I had a relationship with my daughter’s mom. I said “oh yes, I love her”. Dr. Cook said “oh that makes for a fun time” slapping himself on the cheek saying “bad Mr. Cook Bad, sorry I read too many books”.
When walking me out, Dr. Cook says “you should find something you are good at” body checks me looking up and down with his eyes, saying “maybe have a few kids”.
I have never experienced so many bazar and unhinged comments from a person, let alone a medical professional.
I spoke to a friend who actually had a very similar experience with Dr. Cook and she switched Drs to a female Dr at the same office.
Being that I really liked the office staff and nurses, I will most likely opt for this option.
Sorry I don’t have a better review to report…

I had been going to Doctor Cook since I was child for most of my adolescence because his office was close to our home. I stopped seeing him because I moved to East Texas for college. I graduated and returned to Dr Cook because my insurance still was accepted by his office. My first visit back in 2022 was good and it felt like I was at the right doctor for me. Then all of 2023 they never contacted me about physicals and I constantly had to call to get my thyroid medicine refilled. Now recently I’ve had severe anxiety and panic attacks as well as bodily issues that have made me miss some days of work. During the visit the bodily issues were swept under the rug, he didn’t listen to me about those issues. Then he prescribed me the wrong medication for my anxiety and he didn’t even make sure it got sent to the pharmacy. Finally he said I have nothing going on in my life and he literally said that I’m fat and unappealing to woman and I’ll never find a wife if I don’t change my life even though I have college degrees and a good career that utilizes those degrees. He was very unprofessional and it did not make me feel better after the visit, all he did is worsen my anxiety and make me feel inadequate about myself, despite having major collegiate accomplishments and a really good career for a younger man in his 20’s. I’m not sure what happened during my time in college but he’s changed as person in a negative way that has made him an unprofessional doctor that misdiagnosis patients and he’s also misdiagnosed my other family members in the past as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS DOCTOR FOR ANY REASON AT ALL. IF YOU NEED A PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN, YOU SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE. IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY OTHER KIND OF SICKNESS ISSUES, GO ELSEWHERE. MAYBE IT’S TIME FOR THIS DOCTOR TO RETIRE OR FIND A NEW JOB. HE’S BECOME THE WORST DOCTOR I’VE SEEN IN MY LIFE THAT IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND INACCURATE WITH DIAGNOSES. STAY AWAY FROM BEDFORD FAMILY MEDICINE. THE ONLY POSITIVE THING IS THE PEOPLE WHO WORK BEHIND THE DESK ARE FRIENDLY.

I have been going to Dr Cook for over 20 years for minor things but the last couple visit were for more major issues. I was not listened to, misdiagnosed, then treated very poorly when trying to speak to Dr Cook about my issues. I will not be going back every again and would not refer anyone to this doctors office. Also Dr Cook, every visit never fails he will say something inappropriate thinking its funny.

Dr. Cook is out of his mind. He kept saying very inappropriate things during my visit. Like he was trying to be funny, but it wasn't. He made some sort of joke about decreasing the use of cocaine to help with my allergies, and also said that my husband should get a vasectomy instead of me tying my tubes because it would protect his girlfriend as well. Just really weird stuff. Then, his pants are always too darn tight and all his stuff is just on complete display, and its gross. I will not return, and you shouldn't either.

I would give yall a 5 because the dr and nurse were great . But every chair in the waiting room was filled with dog hair. I know people take their dogs everywhere with them these days but nobody wants to sit in dog hair at a drs office . My appt was at 10 am today so hopefully when I come back next month I do not have the same issue

We have been going here for 9 years and it has just gone downhill. We have finally found a new Dr. today after such an unpleasant phone call. We switched insurance and we were trying to give over our information. We kept getting asked what website we used. We let the lady know it was through a private agency and she kept saying it didn't matter what our provider was she needed to know the website. When we were talking she tried to cut us off but we kept with are question and she rudely said "like I was trying to say" We called our agent and she was confused by the question also and told us to give them the customer number. We called back and she said she cant call customer service and that she needed to know if it was a market plan. This was never asked at the beginning and then she ran our numbers. She put us on hold for over 10 minutes and then someone else came back saying the number was invalid. She imputed it wrong and just walked away. Dr. King was amazing, but her office staff has always been so rude and unwelcoming. With the amount of local Dr's in the area we shouldn't have to deal with this.

Don't go here been going for over 3 years. Had a couple of missed apps. 1 due to covid they told me not to come in and just missed one due to a death and the family. Didn't even tell me just dropped as a patient without any warning. Dr. King was awesome but Dr. Cook should just stop being. Doctor he's a joke.

The point of my visit was to have a prescription sent for a CPAP, which my previous PCP couldn’t do due to issues with the supplier. This man and his incompetent staff, after listening to how this untreated apnea is interfering with my daily life and suspecting that it’s NOT mild (like my original results said), not only refused to refer me to get help for this, but also REFUSED re-evaluation, stating that if he were to reevaluate he’d still go off my original, mild OSA results. And that defeats the purpose of a reevaluation. 3 weeks of my life WASTED. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have been coming here for years and it has always been a great experience from check in to check out. That was until today May 25th. I came in for my appointment to check in and there were 2 ladies at the check in desk, one directly in the front and one further back. The first lady to help was super sweet. But as the one from the back interrupted the check in process she was very rude. She started asking me personal questions that I could not answer from the top of my head. And proceeded to get a little louder asking questions ( that were private, all of this happened at the check in desk) I understand that at that moment there was no one else in the waiting area but still, it was very unprofessional for her to ask me like that and expect me to just answer. And then she seemed to get upset because I could not answer her questions right away. I understand it can be frustrating when you need questions answered and the patient cannot answer right away but there is a way to handle that and being rude and getting loud is not one of them. She seemed more worried about filling out paperwork wrong than to actually take a moment and explain to me exactly what she needed. I am very disappointed in the service that was provided at the check in time. The actual appointment with Dr. Carol and the check out process were as usual very pleasant and easy.

Dr. Cook tried to get me to take Paxil and said it is fine to take during pregnancy. My OB, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, say that Paxil is UNSAFE during pregnancy. He is giving out dangerously outdated advice.
