Got my 2nd tortie cat spayed and microchipped. This place is awesome. They did both of my tortie cats. I highly recommend them.

We ( my daughter)adopted from the shelter and it’s been great because. He is large but never pulls the Leah. He was well mannered and fixed.

The Humane Society of Southeast Texas is a shining example of how an animal shelter should be operated. It is spotless cleaned, there is a separate clinic for sick animals and for their vet to do spays and neuters before an animal leaves the clinic. They give them their vaccines, put them on preventative and start them on heartworm protocols for those that test positive. They take every step to make sure your new family member is ready to join your family. What they don't do, and some people don't understand why, is train animals, whether it is obedience training all the way to potty training. There aren't enough employees, enough time, or enough money. Their animals are well-cared for and socialized. If you are looking for a pet, apply to HSSET. If you would like to volunteer or donate, they will be happy to work with you on that as well.

I applied to adopt and was declined. I own a home, have yard, hold down a job… and I can’t adopt a cat?!! I own two! Healthy , loved fur babies! This is why they are over crowded. And no reason was given as to why I was denied?

The staff are unprofessional and childish. If you do something they don't approve of they will blast your picture all over the internet. A elderly dying old man and a young girl out of foster care are the latest victims of their cyber bulling. They value animal life over human life. It's disgusting and they must be stopped!!

The truth is I felt very discriminated against in this place, my daughter wants a cat, and she told me we are going to this place to adopt one, and that way we help them vacate the shelter
And the women who were there just looked me up and down, gave us so many excuses, and in the end they told us to leave, and in 24 hours we will send you an email to see if you qualify.
After 2 days they sent it saying sorry they don't qualify.
I am very disappointed in them, and my daughter is sad ? because she wants a kitten

I had my female kitten spayed, vaccinated and microchipped at the Humane Society's Clinic.
The pricing was very affordable and easy to setup online. The absolute best part is their staff. Extremely friendly and helpful when dropping off and picking up. Zero issues with recovery.
