I booked a rental on Harrison in Beaumont Texas. When we picked the car up it was filthy (I made a video and pictures) due to the unbelievable filth.and the manager (Caleb gray) stated that they no longer clean the cars due to the city code. He stated that he did vacuum the inside and that mainly that's all he had time for The car was white but had tons of dead bugs, the front wind shield had dust and dead bugs and a brownish clay dirt all around the side to include doors and back window. I was dropped off and had to take the car. I left and was 15 minutes out and the service light came on so I thought maybe this is why the car was so filthy maybe it had been out of commission in a shop or warehouse. I called him back and he stated ooh it's nothing I forgot to tell you that they changed the oil and didn't reset it. I called hertz 1800 number and asked did they have a new city code which the customers have to wash the cars upon pick up and they knew nothing about a city code. I called him back and informed the manager that I could not find anyone to clean the car and could he please change it to another car he then stated well just bring it back at 1030 tomorrow and I'll have time to switch it with another car for you. I came back as he instructed at1030 am which he stated I don't have one come back later or I'll call you in a hour. He never called I came back at 2 he the stated well I have to go pick it up from Firestone. I waited in hertz parking lot for 1 hour and had to leave. I called enterprise who helped me tremendously and was able to rent a car that was drivable and not filthy. I took the filthy car back and was charged a day with a 200 dollar hold on my card. A total waste of my money with no care in the world from the hertz manager on Harrison in beaumont texas. I wasted my money and the customer service was horrible!! The manager was Caleb gray he could care less and told a straight lie saying that they can no longer wash the cars or clean them off even after I said why would the company allow you to give a filthy car like that to any customer.

Never seen a business where you call all day and can’t get not one answer…. Then when you get there the employees are just sitting there chillin

Unreliable business. Reservations show they have cars available, but when you show up they tell you there are none. You can call them ahead of time and they say they will return the call, but they never do. Don’t waste your time and ruin your plans.
Edit: Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. Get cars from other locations like other rental car companies do. Your bad service has no justification.

I sat in line for 30 minutes with them knowing we were checking in. After waiting they told us, they didn’t have any cars. They let us sit there knowing we were waiting for nothing.

Always used enterprise they're always booked. So I called hertz a few times. Every time someone picks up the phone and hangs up. So unprofessional

Awful. Long story short, they refused to honor a RESERVATION that we MADE and PAID FOR from Priceline for a one-way car rental. Apparently they overbooked their one-way car rentals and received ZERO communication and input from Priceline about our reservation to this Hertz location. The guy that was working the desk today was extremely unhelpful, sorry to say, and it was readily apparent he didn't care at all about any sort of customer service. He even refused to help us with finding out any other alternative car rentals since his location couldn't or wouldn't help us out despite our pre-paid reservation. Lousy. Very disappointed, never coming back here, even if we have to go somewhere else to pay higher fees.

Were not open when they said they would be. Customer service said there was a key dropbox, but there isnt. So what am i supposed to do with the car?

Avoid at all cost. Had scheduled a car rental ONE week in advance. They ran out of cars on the day I was supposed to pick mine, resulting in me having to switch to another company. Awful lack of planning on their part

Guy behind the desk was nice enough, and did pay attention to me even though the phone was ringing off the hook.
Might recommend having a second person working.
Hertz itself has issues cant get ahold of a human at their big rental centers, or their main line.
The individual Could not take care of issues. Gave me a number for hertz that goes to nowhere (not his fault). There is no way to get to a human about incorrect charges and this individual working would/could (not sure here) not help. Car had issues too, but again not able to do anything at a HERTZ center.
The experience here was OK, but hertz overall hurt your rating.

The Hertz location on Harrison Avenue is very ghetto and unprofessional. They have this lazy guy working behind the counter, who moves like he really doesn’t feel like helping you. They wasted my time, not once but twice in the same day. I had a reservation for a rental car through an insurance claim and tried to pick it up early that morning but the guy behind the counter was just sitting there for nearly half an hour doing absolutely nothing but staring at a tablet so I ended up having to leave and come back an hour later. Then when I came back for the second time I was told they didn’t have any cars available, when the lazy guy behind the counter could have just gotten up off his behind and given me a car when I came in the first time which was earlier that morning. Needless to say, I ended up getting a rental car quickly and easily from ENTERPRISE RENTAL CARS!

I’ve never in my life had to call anyone over 10 times to have someone pick up the phone. I’ve also been waiting from 9 am -11 am just to get their free pick up service they offer. The phone rings only 4 times so I understand they are not available to pick up but over 10 calls to talk with someone in the store is RIDICULOUS!
