Food Town is a grocery store chain that was started in Houston, Texas in 1994. The stores strive to offer customers national brand products, quality meats and produce, and a clean, safe shopping environment at competitive prices. While some reviews note that the prices at Food Town are higher than Walmart and the stores can be a bit outdated, customers generally appreciate the convenient locations, good selection, and fresh meat and produce. The employees are described as friendly and helpful, with one reviewer praising the excellent service provided by a manager named Ms. Judy. Overall, Food Town seems to be a solid local grocery option, offering good value and a pleasant shopping experience for the surrounding neighborhoods. The produce department is a point of contention, with some customers finding the fruits and vegetables to be less than fresh, while others are satisfied with the quality.
Just a quick stop for a few items. I'm not generally a fan of this chain, but this one was relatively clean and well organized. Initially only 2 checkrs with 12 people waiting. A manager jumped in and started checking, but still an excessive wait time. It was just after 4PM so many folks were just leaving work.
