I’m glad I saw Dr. Robbins. I have a good, informed diagnosis regarding why my cat Charlie is throwing up his food. It was just what I needed for my boy. I’m encouraged that the diagnosis is what is going on with my pet. Thanks Dr. Robbins!!

Dr. Tripp is an amazing vet with excellent bedside manner. She explains her specific plans and recommendations for your pet so there is no confusion and even explains cost before beginning service. She gives a few options based on your pets individual needs. I unfortunately had two sick pets that had to be brought in this week and had a great experience each time. The front desk staff and techs are amazing too. I definitely recommend AMC!

Took 7yrs to find the right person to trust with my Fur Friends. . .She, and her staff, is exactly everything I'd been accustomed to, and lucky to find . . . Super conscientious, patient and thorough . . . No frightening guesswork or amping up the bill . . . Hachi bounced out of his first appt energized and happy ? After a thorough anal inside out exam . . . His big taboo !
This is a fraudulent post ! They actually killed my dog by administering a lethal amount of antibiotics and then an extremely potent heartworm protocol. This was done by vet tech who failed to do a current blood test, and was leaving the center. His back legs were failing in about 10 days after the dose. He then became immobilized completely, developed heart failure and the worst of it they would not help me at all. My beloved Hachi finally died horribly !
The most deplorable after all, was finding this post, a complete and total lie by the business manager. Her and I had heated discussions over the malpractice and death of my companion . . .

Extraordinarily rude and unprofessional. Take your pets to Gulf Coast Veternarian services instead. I have personally used them for ivdd surgery for a brachycephalic dog. They are courteous, friendly, caring and accountable group at GCVS. The compassion and value they place on life is not genuine and exists only in limited circumstances.

My 10 year old Toy Poodle tore his CCL. Dr. Robbins was phenomenal. His bedside manner with my pup is unmatched. He was very kind and extremely informative. The process was explained is detail. The staff was very kind and lived on my fur baby.
Being that I do not have insurance, the surgery was extremely affordable. While I was very comfortable with the staff and pricing, I still called around to other vets. All others were no less than double.
My pup had made strides and is on his way to a full recovery. They have gained a customer for my fur babies.

Wonderful staff all around. Took my cat in for an upper respiratory infection and they got him all sorted out and provided reassuring information. This office is also affordable, was pleased with the price we paid for our emergency visit.

MY PERSONAL STORY:
My three Yorkies recently started on fresh pet dog food. I spent all of Mother’s Day night at an ER vet from them getting salmonella poisoning from that dog food. So many don’t realize that refrigerated dog food isn’t always handled correctly from the manufacturer to the store and then from the store to the home. I just want to share my story because it was terrifying. I have three precious yorkies that I love so much. Mother’s Day night one of them started having a bloody stool about 11 o’clock at night. I realized I’m not sure if I could wait any longer. I was trying to wait until Monday morning. We rushed her to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with possible salmonella poisoning. When we got back home with her, the other two had bloody stool all over my living room vomit everywhere. I took them to the vet first thing in the morning which was literally three hours away (meanwhile I gave them all a dose of the antibiotics given to the one Yorky and the diarrhea preventative because they’re all the same size ) and they all three had 104.5 fever. We went through every possible scenario my dogs are inside dogs they use pee pads they do not go outside. They certainly had not swallowed anything. They’re not puppies. We narrowed it down to the dog food. They said that they have trouble with these refrigerated dog foods because they’re simply no way to know if they have been under the right temperature . I have no question other than just a simple thank you. I knew exactly what to do because of the answers that yall give to others . Please be careful giving your dog the refrigerated foods. I thought I was but $1700 later I obviously missed something. I’m just so thankful my babies are alive !. This veterinary office saw me at the last minute on the Tuesday after Mother’s Day. I’m greatly appreciative.!

Scott Robbins is the best veterinarian I've ever been to. My dog had been having intermittent neurological problems, and even the neurology specialist in Houston hadn't been able to give me answers. But Dr. Robbins did a thorough neuro exam on my dog in front of me and took his time talking to me, watching the videos I'd saved of her abnormal behavior, asking questions, and making sure I understood. He also took his time with her. She is a very shy skittish dog and is especially scared of men, but he sat on the floor across the room and waited for her to become more comfortable with him before he attempted to examine her. Also, since I started my dog on the medication he prescribed, she hasn't had any more neurological episodes. Dr. Robbins is clearly very experienced and smart, and his bedside manner is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Yesterday 5/3/24, we took our golden retriever Bailey for an emergency evaluation bc he was very sick. Unfortunately we had to make the devastating decision to put him to sleep and as heartbreaking it was, we can't be more humbled by the treatment and attention given by Dr. Sandra Keener and her vet assistant Mikayla. Not only they explained everything in detail to make an informed and difficult decision but they were there throughout the process and it was a peaceful transition for our baby, but they also took into consideration what we were going through. I must say that comparing to other places we have been to over the years, Animal Medical Center of Baytown are professional and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend them.
