“This was our second year attending the Community Gardens Pumkpin Patch! I'd argue it was even better than last year. We started at the Chapala Sunday brunch buffet, which was delicious. Then we toodled around the pumpkins. There were plenty of cute family photo ops and lots of activities for the kids. This event is geared for all ages, our toddler had a great time on the play grounds while I sat with my infant on the couches in the shade. They even had the folks from Jeremiah's Ice out serving tasty treats for cheap. Overall a lovely experience, we will definitely come back next year.”
“When I start to see the owners be responsible for the traffic that their Sunday events cause I’ll change my review because honestly, I’ve been there before with my family and I generally liked it but damn someone needs to be held accountable for what you cause to the community. 304 should not be shut down just because there’s a Sunday event. It took me one hour to make it 1 mile down the road just because they didn’t hire a valet to come out and guide traffic and then the attendees were over there being belligerent trying to cut off people using the emergency lane.
UPDATE : After a month since this experience and a message to management, the east 40 has corrected the traffic issue. In the past weeks on busy event days, they did in fact hire security and police officers to assist in delegating traffic. THANK YOU EAST 40!”
“We had my grandsons wedding of family and close friends. About 30 people. This historical building has a great vibe to it, being the black USO during WWII in Bastrop. It's a old hand at making events turn out amazing.”
