I had an extremely disappointing experience at this liquor store. I arrived at 8:50 PM, well before their 9 PM closing time, and was met with an employee who treated me incredibly rudely. I politely asked to use the restroom, only to be spoken to in a disrespectful manner—like I was an inconvenience or worse, like a dog. She denied my request, claiming she was the only one there and couldn't allow it.
What really bothered me was the double standard. Just moments before, a white couple walked in and were greeted warmly, without any issue. It was clear they were still open, but somehow, for me, they were "closed." I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this felt like blatant favoritism or worse.
If you value respectful customer service and fair treatment, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Really like buying locally, but then they did not have Carabuena tequila, a Jalisco product headquartered in Austin

If you're thirsty head to Twin Liquors! Huge selection, they had some Fords Gin I have had trouble finding in big city liquor stores and the prices are super reasonable! Also the cheapest bottles of water at around 67 cents. The store clerks were also friendly and very helpful. Thanks!

They did not have the size I needed. When I walked out I was chased down to my car by the cashier. She looked me up and down and stared at my purse like I stole something. I told her they did not have the size bbn bottle I needed. She proceeded to try and sell me a smaller bottle. I told her I would look else where. The whole time we were talking she kept her eyes on my purse. I told her I most definitely did not steal from her store and I would never be back at that store again. Went to Specs and they were $8 cheaper on the bottle I got. This lady treated me like a thief. Will never do business with Twin Liquors in Bastrop again. Was in there on 11/ 7 / 2021 at 11am. So the cashier there at that time needs to learn to not treat people like thieves especially when they do not have the products customers are looking for.

Normally probably would give a good review. However I got there at 8:59 pm, I didn't know they closed at 9 or I would have gone somewhere else to begin with. I was walking up to the door, the open sign was still on, when the girl inside walked up to the door, looked at me, locked the door and turned off the open sign, and walked away. So rude. I definitely won't be back. I would rather pay $2 more at the gas station for less selection than deal with someone who cares so little about their customers they can't even say anything to them. I guess texting or whatever she was doing on her phone was more important than customer service. Having worked in customer service for over 10 years, the bare minimum is to say I'm sorry we're closed, or the drawer is already shut down, etc. But to ignore a customer like she did really reflects poorly on the entire store.
