“I called and asked if they had chicks, the lady on the phone said yes, so I decided to drive out and check out what they had. They didn’t have what I was after but the gentleman in the store was super helpful and informative. He showed me the schedule for their chick arrivals and even though I am from out of town I will definitely be back by when my chick type does arrive. They also didn’t mind my son and I hanging around gawking at the baby chicks for a bit either. I’d highly recommend stopping by.”

“Bnb is a bastrop staple. The kind of place that always remembers your name. Always busy for good reason but they always have multiple guys running the desk so never takes roo long. They have so much so much stuff in that lil place it's incredible what you might find in there. If they don't have it they can get it. Patrick is usually my go to guy always friendly and takes his time to help, even when he's slammed.”
“Bought my sister a Home Depot gift card along w/gift, mailed it but it never arrived so today I was trying to get my receipt for the gift card to present it to the USPS for the insurance protection. I spent an inordinate amount of time on hold, spoke to 3 people was told what I wanted I'd have to do in person & I was to call a different number to see if someone (THIEF) had cashed it. The automated system for that was horrendous! Finally, I called back to the store's # and this time got BECCA CARRASCO. Bastrop's Home Depot needs to CLONE her. She was beyond AWESOME! Nothing was a problem for her, she immediately found what was needed, took a screen shot and emailed me what I needed saving me not only gas but unnecessary stress having to go to the store in person. More importantly, SHE was able to tell me no one (thief) had cashed the gift card. Home Depot, you need to give Becca Carrasco A RAISE for being such a wonderfully EFFICIENT, super friendly employee!! It took her about 7 minutes to do what I'd just spent an hour on the phone being told by others, I'd have to do in person. Thank you, Becca!”
“Went to a tire shop only to hear excuses. (Dont mess with rolling rescue in Smithville their trash.) Limped my motorcycle the 20 miles to Bastrop and these guys were awesome. Gave me the tools I needed and a new valve stem plus let me do the repair myself (motorcycle) gave me the air to finish the job and only charged me $6! Thank you guys so much”

“It is difficult to get help in asking for something and then when you do they usually have to find someone else to help. But they are usually stocked well and you can find what you need.”

“This was our second year attending the Community Gardens Pumkpin Patch! I'd argue it was even better than last year. We started at the Chapala Sunday brunch buffet, which was delicious. Then we toodled around the pumpkins. There were plenty of cute family photo ops and lots of activities for the kids. This event is geared for all ages, our toddler had a great time on the play grounds while I sat with my infant on the couches in the shade. They even had the folks from Jeremiah's Ice out serving tasty treats for cheap. Overall a lovely experience, we will definitely come back next year.”
