Christie and her team are miracle workers. I would give them 500 stars if I could! Our family rescued a young German Shepherd mix who had such severe anxiety that we could barely get her to walk past our yard. She was fearful of other dogs and dangerous around people (even members of our own family) because she was so scared. After five weeks of board and train with Christie, she was a completely different dog. She now can go on long walks and loves any other dog she meets and can run and play for hours. Christie’s training didn’t just help our family, it gave our dog the confidence she needs to live a happy life. We are forever grateful to her and love her beautiful facility.

Christie and Gail are amazing. They are so good at what they do.. before bringing my dog Ninja there, I tried multiple trainers with zero progress. And ultimately I had zero hope for him, and started considering giving my dog away because he was very anxious & reactive, has bit me multiple times, and has attacked my other dog more times than I can count. It was tough to live with him.
Now he is not anxious at all, not reactive, I can literally walk right past another dog without him even paying attention to it. I can bring him in public places like restaurants/bars, and he just sits there calm.
He is extremely obedient now. Listens on command. It’s such a pleasure training him as he just wants to please you.
K9 Mastery has restored my relationship with my dog, we have structure in our day to day lives, and if you’re in a position of having no hope with your dog, K9 mastery should be your last option before giving up.
In fact, she did such a great job with Ninja, I immediately dropped my other dog off right after just because how impressed I was with the results. 10/10 recommend!

Christie and the team at K9 Mastery are highly skilled and passionate dog trainers. Christie’s knowledge of canine behavior is unparalleled and it was with her help that we were able to lay down foundational obedience training with our dog and thus making all of our lives much more enjoyable. Our sweet boy was a stray who was abandoned by his owner in our neighborhood park. Without having any knowledge of his history we quickly discovered that we were going to need help from a professional in order to ease the transition into our home. A reliable source told me that she had worked with Christie in order to curb some of her dog’s undesirable behavior and so we contacted Christie and soon he was off for a month learning how to respond appropriately to the equipment used to correct undesirable behavior and enforce basic obedience. Christie has an amazing 43 acres where dogs get to both learn and play under the care of a dedicated team.
I was initially intimidated by Christie as she has a very direct and clear approach to working with dogs and their owners. But I soon learned that she is fiercely protective of the well-being of dogs and she has made it her mission to train their owners in order to ensure safety for all. I grew to appreciate the ways in which Christie pushed me to be a more confident dog owner and human being. I am forever grateful for her guidance and genuine desire to create healthy and secure relationships between dogs and their owners.
Thank you Christie!!

Great experience!! The location and personal bungalows are so perfect! Just what I was looking for for my pup! I was nervous as this was our first time boarding her but they made me feel very comfortable and the add ins were a nice bonus for Millie’s stay. This is our new go to place!

Christie and her team are pros! They can handle any kind of dog and have all the accommodations and activities to make your dog feel at home while you're away.I've been taking my dog there for 3 years. He's not the easiest pup to manage and her team does a great job.I also did Christie’s training program. My dog was 10 at the time and after 30 days I had a new dog. He walks perfectly in lock step and his anxiety has diminished significantly from where it was. My friends have done this same program with the same results.10/10 would recommend.

Have never left my dog with this business but just looking at the reviews and the owners response to the concerns of her customers, I NEVER would! I can’t believe that any professional would respond this way to a paying customer! Her responses validate all of the complaints I have read. She is rude, unprofessional and deceitful. How can you call yourself caring and attentive when nothing she has said demonstrates any of those qualities! This business should be shut down and the people who have had bad experiences here should file formal complaints! Does not even deserve one star rating!

Very rude ppl , you cannot reach them
By phone only email , and when they do respond it’s all gibberish and attitude, or as I previously stated remarks etc. I asked for prices and recieved rude responses . Definitely not comforting and wouldn’t be comfortable leaving my fur babies with them. #unprofessional

My husband and I could not be more thrilled with the results of a board and train experience at K9 Mastery for our Belgian Malinois mix, Zeus. At the end of 2022, I became pregnant and we started to notice more territorial and protective behaviors in Zeus. He was 1.5 years old at the time and still demonstrated intermittent destructive behaviors every couple of months. He also had a traumatic experience with crate training as an 8 week old puppy where he escaped and ended up sustaining a complete fracture of his leg. Due to this event, we had not been successful with crate training because of his anxiety. We tried increasing his exercise, using mentally stimulating toys, hiring a trainer who came to the home, and gradually re-attempting crate training. None of these efforts worked and Zeus' behaviors worsened. We had two incidents where Zeus bit another dog in the dog park that backs up to our home (which he thinks is part of our property) and where he barked at and cornered a 10 year old boy. My husband and I lost hope and, as our due date approached, we made the very difficult decision to post Zeus on a re-homing page. The next day after making the post, we had someone interested in taking Zeus. On that same day, a good friend recommended we send Zeus to K9 Mastery and generously wanted to gift us the opportunity. Christie was extremely accommodating in taking Zeus on short notice due to the urgency of the situation with our first baby arriving in a couple months. Zeus stayed at K9 mastery for 6 weeks and we got weekly updates. He was a handful when he first arrived as Christie dealt with his extreme separation anxiety and fear of the crate. Despite Zeus somehow escaping a heavy duty crate, digging under the fence, and chewing through dry wall, Christie did not give up on Zeus. She tried a variety of techniques ("puppy" heartbeat next to his crate, CBD oil, a steel welded crate, increasing his exercise in addition to training, etc.) to help get him past his separation and crate anxiety. Things got better as the weeks went by and when we arrived to pickup Zeus, we saw a new dog. Christie gave us the tools to adequately meet his mental and physical needs in a way that worked for our family and lifestyle. She taught us how to take control and lead Zeus so he doesn't feel the need to dominate and protect. In the several months that we've had him home, we have not had any issues with destruction, crate training, or aggressive behaviors with people coming into the home. He maintains the boundaries we've instilled with the new baby. We've received several compliments from strangers and neighbors while we've been out with Zeus on his excellent obedience. He listens despite distractions (food, toys, other dogs, loud noises, sudden movements, and his ultimate weakness, squirrels). We are so grateful to Christie for allowing us to keep our dog. Our home would not be the same without him and his sweet, goofy, and loving personality. We highly recommend K9 Mastery for all your dog training needs! Thank you, Christie, for your dedication to the dogs you train and your thoroughness in how you conduct your business!

This place is amazing! I have a dog that can be aggressive/reactive so finding a place to board him with skilled people to handle him is hard so when I stumbled upon this place I was impressed. The facility is beautifully tucked away on acreage, and very secure. I boarded my dog for a trial run for 2 nights and he seemed to have a blast and was so exhausted when he came home! Christie (owner) was very prompt and helpful in answering my questions via email before scheduling and the staff was friendly and welcoming upon drop off/pick up. They do all scheduling and dog pictures through the online portal which is very easy to navigate. I would 10/10 recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

We took our 4 month Giant Schnauzer, Sophie for 30 days of board and train and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Christie is truly a professional and with her guidance, Sophie is easy to control and loves to work, hike and train. We’ll be starting off leash training soon!

One of the rudest people we have ever dealt with. Forced us to pick up our dog early after a month of board and train due to not “following picture requests”. Regardless of not understanding these weird instructions to receive a picture, she just lacks customer service at its lowest form. I will share screenshots of the emails we received with these crazy demands and threats to “stop training my dog until she is picked up”.because my mother who was 3,000 miles away on the other side of the world did not follow her instructions for a picture, she started questioning my moms “ability to have a dog”. Who does lady think she is? I don’t care who you are, being respectful to your customers is highly important. We had four more dogs lined up for board and train but obviously abandoned that plan. Look at how she responds to other low reviews here, it is all attacking and shifting blame on the owner every-time. Our dog also came back with a few scabs on her neck which is prob from the pronged collar they use which was not cool in any regards. Now let’s see her condensing reply come through shifting blame and guilt on me for the way she acted. Might be good at training dogs. Absolutely terrible when dealing with customers. I would not board my dog here again. A Lot of other options in the surrounding areas with better results and less expensive.
