Firstly, I did not speed in your facility. Secondly, I was warned about you before I entered the premises. Thirdly, I would never rent a unit from you or do business with you. You are the definition of a creep on a power trip and you use this facility and this position as your domain that you are able to keep control over. And you write these long extravagant responses to anyone who calls you out for your behavior. The purposes of these reviews is to give the public an accurate description of who they are potentially choosing to do business with. And your attitude and responses to not only mine but others comments about you and your business practices say enough about yourself to accomplish that here on your own.
The guy that manages this property is a certified creep. The word domestic terrorist comes to mind. I was greeted entering this property to this man wearing all black and something resembling tactical gear with a GoPro strapped to his chest. Before I even crossed all the way through the gate he's gesturing me to slow down. I was simply there to help someone unload. But I'd personally never do business with this place.

This is THE BEST storage facility in the county! 24-7 on site security & a no nonsense approach to business. No break-ins, homeless campers unsavory individuals lurking around. Bastrop Guardian Storage has been keeping my precious junk safe for 4 years!

If you're you want to be spoken to in a condescending and subhuman sort of way, this is the place for you. My email of "required reading" went to my spam folder and the only instructions I received stated congratulations on your rental and then instructed me to come in and fill out required paperwork in person. I tried to do that to find a locked door. I phoned the number on the door and a gentleman answered and immediately scolded me for coming to the location at all. He told me that he suggested I get in my car and leave and not to come back until that was done and I had an appointment. Upon reading the required information I noted all the confrontational verbage of "donts". I understand the rules but this guy was so rude and over the top. Save yourself the trouble and rent from a place that actually wants your business. Unless you are a grown adult who enjoys being "daded" by the manger and scolded and spoken to like a child. I can't imagine what the actual rental relationship looks like. No thanks. I'll go elsewhere and be treated like the adult I am.

I loved these storage units. Michael who manages the place, can seem like over the top with his rules, like driving very slow when you enter the facility, moving in and out of the units rules, etc. but after staying there for 3 years its what made this place awesome. You're stuff is in good hands while Michael is looking over your items. Greatly appreciate my interactions with him and the units were very clean and upkept. I highly recommend the indoor units because the temperature was always perfect! And the air conditioning when I moved out helped tremendously with this current heat. It also saved my stuff through the freeze two years ago and these crazy hot summers. It helped keep my items completely safe and guarded even from the weather. Highly recommend Bastrop Guardian Storage!

I loved this storage units. Michael who manages the place, can seem like over the top with his rules, like driving very slow when you enter the facility, moving in and out of the units rules, etc. but after staying there for 3 years its what made this place awesome. You're stuff is in good hands while Michael is looking over your items. Greatly appreciate my interactions with him and the units were very clean and upkept. Where to start?? First off let me say the world and life in itself brings enough challenges and some grief to everyone's life so it's not my intention to bring unwarranted negative reviews but in this case, it is not only warranted but needed. There are people in this world that have such a low opinion of themselves that when they get an opportunity to project themselves as something they would like to be but are not, they jump on the chance. In this particular case it's my opinion that Michael has made himself a little kingdom in which he is the ruler of all the kingdom's storage units....and he is the protectorate of all that is in his realm...well him and his (what appears Pitbull mix) dog. Why he even dresses the part of the modern-day Guardian... Dressed all in black, with a police utility belt filled with all kinds of stuff attached to it (pepper spray??), and wearing what could be considered a black bullet proof vest. This gear is all warranted as next to Fort Knox, I'm sure HIS storage unit is a prize to every local, state, federal and international criminals has their eyes on it...but through his aggressive defensive measures I'm sure he has cut short many attempts at the risk of his life and limb. In reality he is a little man living in a little dream world he has made for himself.... And you can bet that ALL local, state and federal law enforcement agencies are beating a path to that facility to learn from his cutting-edge security measures. What a joke he is!!!! I rented from this facility some time ago and decided to move my stuff to a different facility. To whoever reads this review...you decide for yourself. Read carefully Michael's response to negative reviews and you will see between the lines a troubled individual. I do not recommend this facility at all. Well, there isn't anything wrong with the facility itself, but the manager has issues. The owner of this facility would do well to re-evaluate his choice of a manager.There is a saying that comes to mind here..." Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely ". That poor little man has his little kingdom and the power...... A very little man indeed!!!! By the way if one's dirty laundry were to be hung out I suspect Michael would need a rather large laundromat or a mile long clothes line.Renter beware!!!!

Michael, the onsite manager, is super easy to work with, communicates very well, and watches over the property like a hawk. I feel comfortable knowing my items are taken care of and the price is very affordable compared to others in the area. I previously had a storage unit with another company in Austin where someone tried breaking into the unit by driving through the wall resulting in damage to my stored property. The management knew it had occurred, but never contacted me about it and let me discover it on my own. I am glad I moved my stored items to Bastrop Guardian. As long as Michael is caring for the property I expect to use their service for a long time.My advice to new renters...take the time to read all of the information Michael gives you. It will provide all the answers you need and prevent any misunderstandings. Ive read the negative reviews and checked it out for myself. Its apparent those people didnt take the time to read or were just dumbasses to begin with.

You want a reason? You are a thief. You accept rent from people at the beginning of the month and then before that month is up You sell all their stuff. You set an u realistic speed limit and claim people are speeding when they are not. See you in court

Owner/manager is a liar and a thief. He accepted payment for every month we were there. He decided to terminate our lease and sell all of our stuff before the end of the month. He expects everyone to drive at or under 5 mph. He enforces this by his sight. Even though your speedometer says 5 if he thinks you are going faster he yells at you to slow down. He constantly "visits" with you when you are putting something in or out in order to snoop at what you have. He CLAIMS he sent an email notifing us of the termination but he only sent it today. Recommend NEVER rent from here.

My husband and I were looking for a secure place to leave our fifth wheel for 4-5 days while we were in Austin prior to leaving for our vacation. I called several places and only found a couple that had room but wanted to charge a full months rent. I came across Bastrop Guardian Storage and talked to Michael. He was awesome and insisted that I read his reviews prior to deciding to leave our camper there. I must say that I did get a kick out of the reviews and his response! But what I did get from reading his reviews was that he has his rules and expects them to be followed. That I very much appreciate!!! He was courteous and very hospitable and let us leave it there for no charge. We even tried to pay him when we picked it up and he wouldn’t take any payment! There was a mishap when we left and he didn’t complain; only called us to tell us that the hitch on our camper had damaged his gate and was letting us know, not for compensation but so we were aware that it could happen again and to be mindful of it. Thank You Michael!!! We are forever grateful for your generosity!

When I would come to Bastrop Guardian Storage alone with my child, without my husband, I felt very uncomfortable. The pit bulls were allowed to wander the property and approach us UNSUPERVISED. I don’t care the breed, but dogs should not be allowed to approach small children without supervision. The dogs were not aggressive, but still - I felt uncomfortable as we were not known or familiar to them and had no idea what to expect if my toddler startled them, etc.Also, al the violations of privacy in these review replies...yikes.We had an ant problem (no food was stored) although we were told Michael sprayed for pests. We had to bring our own pest control to deal with the problem.10/10 do NOT recommend
