DO NOT bother. I switched institutions and forgot to transfer a bill, which sent me into a negative balance on my checking account here. I transferred money from my new institution to cover the negative balance and they sent it back and slapped me with a NSF fee, making it worse. So thanks for reminding me why I switched...

I have been banking with A+ my entire life and my dad/family have even longer. These reviews do not reflect this credit unions reputation at all. Would recommend them for sure.

WOW we’ve always went with credit unions. I would urge anyone thinking of opening an account here to RUN. Number one, they do not care about their customers.Number two the manager of the bank LIED to me, I’ve been a member at the bank for roughly a year. Came in with a cashiers check (that came from their sister bank) and asked to deposit the money and then cash part of it. She flat out lied to me saying there’s no way to verify the check and there will be a hold on it for 7 days. I called CLASSIC bank and asked if that’s true. NO. I’m switching over to them today. Not only can you not have your money they put a limit on your account on how much you can spend in one day. And to top it off when you get your debit card 9/10 times the chip will not work. So I would highly suggest going over to Classic bank.

Never had so many unauthorized transactions allowed with any other bank. With A+ its a monthly thing. Just recently I had some unauthorized withdrawals back to back in two weeks and bank “investigated” and found no error. The address the withdrawals were made from are from a Jewish center in Austin and I was home asleep and I have proof. Bank did not refunded my money. Over $600 dollars they allowed this thieves to take. $600 may not be alot to some ppl but it is to my family. Closing my account, waiting on my last bills to clear. Do not bank here they will allow thieves to drain your account.

Nancy was extremely rude and unprofessional. Very dry customer service and not helpful at all. My poor mom lost her wallet with her ID, debit card, and medical cards. She goes to Nancy asking if she could get a physical card right there because she has a picture of her ID and told her the situation. Nancy did not care to engage with the conversation politely and just rudely told my mom that it doesn’t matter, she can’t get a new card today. My mom got worried and asked if she could at least take out money until her new card arrives, Nancy denied her of taking out her own money. When she had her ID member # and picture of ID. It almost seemed like Nancy did not want to help her. So she quickly denied her of any solution. You would think, in a small town, the people would be nicer. Im hoping my mom switches over to chase because at least they care about their customers situations and try to be understanding human beings.

Walking in on 9/13/21, they force me to wear a mask inside the bank. If you read The label on the back of a pack of masks, it says it will not protect you from viruses, which Covid is a virus. So this must be a power trip from the bank over its customers. I’m going to look into filing a lawsuit against your company now. How dare you!!!

I am so beyond frustrated with this banking system. No one answers the phone. I have moved 4 hours away. Can not reach anyone and my account is locked. I have never disliked a bank more than I dislike A+. Would not recommend. Is this the ONLY way to get any response???? This is my first bad review online but it sure has been earned.

I have been on hold for 30 minutes. There was an unauthorized charge on my card. A+ texted me to confirm and i said it was not me. They locked my card and i’ve been trying to get ahold of someone for the past 3 days. I’m 18 years old, and I work 7 days a week 12 hours a day for a construction company. I do not have the time to deal with this. I have no access to my money and i work an hour away from my house. i just need gas. I am currently on hold while writing this. I Just need a new card. How hard can that be?!update: it took 45 minutes for me to get ahold of someone just for them to tell me that i could just stop buy to get a card. are you kidding me?? why couldn’t someone just tell me that in the first place? thank you to the wonderful girl who helped me. i don’t know your name but thank you

Paid my car loan over 4 years in advance. The loan included gap insurance which I never received a refund for. Watch out with these guys. I won't be accepting any more proposals from them, I'll be switching to another credit union and one that is local.

Do not bank here. I opened an account here because it was a last minute in a rush thing. These workers are so SLOW and rude. Half the time they only have 1 of their lanes open and you have to sit in a line of 10 cars for over 45 minutes before you even get to pull up and get waited on. I came to the bank to get a new debt card because mine is lost and I waited in the line for over 20 minutes. I pulled up to the window to request a new card and I get told to pull out of line and get back in the line because it takes 3-5 minutes to print the card. THERE IS A LINE OF 10 CARS BEHIND ME. So here I am back in line and have been waiting for OVER 15 minutes so far when the d*** a** woman could have just printed me my debt card at the damn window and I could have already even GONE!!!!!

This institution does not practice good communication with it's customers or even between its departments. Be very sure to obtain the name of anyone you speak to about any problem over the phone. They will refuse to acknowledge the outcomes of previous phone calls. Notes that were supposed to be made to accounts were never made, false/incomplete information was furnished, misleading wording used on correspondence. For peace of mind, go somewhere else for your banking needs.

I recently opened up a bank account with A+ Federal Credit Union in Bastrop. Within one week I noticed questionable activity on my account. I told customer service and their fraud protection to freeze the account until I could get there on the next business day and then we would open a new account and close the old one; they agreed. When I got there they had already closed the account blamed me for the activity and accuse me of being a female using my own personal information to open a line of credit LOL. I reminded them I had made zero transactions, not used the ATM card etc and pointed out that their employees at the bank are 99% female and they should start there. They treated me very poorly and tried to keep my money I don't recommend this branch.

I don't understand why it was necessary to check my credit report. My score went down 25 points as a result. Also, I had been with a credit union for 20 years before coming to this one.
