Had to scan my ID for alcohol sale. I asked for a copy of privacy policy to identify how my information was being used and saved or shared with third parties. Lady looked at me like I was stupid. Said scan was just to verify I was over 21. I've worked retail before, that barcode has all the license info on front.

I was impressed with how well stocked this Dollar General is. The store was clean, and the aisles were free and easy to maneuver thru. Found a couple of items that should come in handy later, plus what I came in for originally.At checkout the cashier was courteous.They have a couple of handicap parking spaces and a ramp for anyone who may need its use.

Ok, had some stuff and a baby in the cart, one register says cash only the other is a self checkout and the third is just open with nobody there. Baby's making all kinds of noise so I figure someone's coming. Nah, had to YELL for service. Lady comes out and says are you paying cash? I say no, but I need smokes, she takes the smokes, rings them up on the self checkout and walks away with a sorry paperwork explanation. So next day, IM THE ONLY CUSTOMER THERE. Same set up, a different employee does the exact same thing. This is policy apparently. You are not a customer, you work here. You are not the priority.

Dollar General is Dollar General is Dollar General, what more am I supposed to say? They used to greet you when you walked in the door but they have it configured in such a way that they can barely anybody go in! It seems like they've tried to cram 10 pounds of ------ into a 5 pound sack!

A nice setup! They had the items we were looking for, and the cashier was very friendly and wearing her mask, which always makes me happy. The store is well-lit and the parking lot offers plenty of spaces. They have a good selection of cold items and seem to really be getting the store up and running efficiently.
