Pat and Pavia led a very useful Bike Maintenance 101 class. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home.

They are such a huge help. If you want to learn how to maintain your bike, they will teach you. Very affordable parts, I highly recommend The Yellow Bike Project. Thanks guys!

You'll find most parts here to restore a vintage. Prices are very reasonable, you can also donate your unused parts. If you don't like greasy hands, they offer bike repair and have a good selection of used bikes for sale.

Check out their website for more details but I started volunteering here so that I can earn my own bike & know how to repair it as needed. Super friendly and helpful staff. Bike gear for sale too.

Community based and opened on certain days. Calling before is wise unless you know the schedule

Love this place. An Austin staple. If you’re a bike n**** take time to visit, buy, or donate to the cause.

What a wonderful project! The whole place is full of helpful kind people looking to make the community better by making cycling accessible to everyone. You can find good deals on used bikes they have fixed up and guarantee the work on. Then if you need toffix something down the road, they will teach you how to fix it and sell you the parts and tools ar a good price, which keeps the project going. ?A real asset to the community!

Incredibly helpful. You can go and take your own bike and work on it there, they are very knowledgeable and helpful in educating you on what you might need to do, though there is space where you can do it. As I understand it, if you volunteer there, which they encourage, they will teach you to be a skilled bike mechanic, and you may can even trade work hours for parts and potentially even enough to build a bike if you work enough hours. This is a great community building exercise, very helpful to the community, avid cyclists and beginners alike. They also sell parts, during certain hours, if you want to go and find it yourself and it will be cheaper than a bike shop. You can also purchase a used bike there which you can be. Rest assured will be running well as it came from a shop where there are knowledgeable bike mechanics.

Five stars for the mission, the environment (“vibe,” if you will), and the excellent, unpretentious customer service. They didn’t have exactly what I needed, but I will definitely stop by again. I’d love to return to try a bike maintenance class.

Yellow Bike Project taught me how to fix my bike myself. Scott was patient and helpful for well over an hour as we replaced my brake lever, and brake/shifting cables. I never thought I'd be able to do that myself. Thanks again!
