The pre-K program here was the best decision we made for our child! We had tried several daycares before and this one went above and beyond our expectations! They truly love and nurture the children! My son learned a lot and most importantly he loved to go every day, he loved his friends and his teachers. THANK YOU WESTOAK WOODS!!!

I vote here every season. There are soda, drink machines ? I believe a water fountain..years back they had a free Halloween carnival for the community/neighborhood and it was great for my Son. Everyone I know that went. Everyone was friendly, kind.HBO show “LOVE DEATH AND _” ? Series set up base camp in the field and large parking lot as filming was around the corner. Their chefs, trailers etc It’s brought in a lot of interesting people. Everyone passing thru has been lovely.Seasonally it is the meet place to park and catch the group rides to the Cowan school carnival up the street.I live near to it and have walked thru the center of the complex. It has a opening, really peaceful place to sit and be no matter your religion, gender, race, with benches around a tasteful sculpture of a symbol for Christians.. I believe the fish?I’ve passed thru regularly. A lot of people like to take a moment there. Reflect on gratitude or surrendering whatever is on their shoulders.I am not a Baptist but truly a lovey group of people :) those I’ve met that do attend. The parking lot and the sports field next to church is where many ppl in the area bring their packs of dogs to run free to play ball.99% are nice or well disciplined more traffic at and thru the night actually.I walk with my Belgian Mal, and shepherd mix regularly. My friendly dog has made friends..I am the one after chasing my dog bc he gets out of every harness and choke. Collar to so he can run and say hi, greet every single person, dog, and loves kids.. we are followed by a trail of cats (1-3) that are besties with my doggo.sooo if you see anyone chasing their dog? It’s me prob. He is super nice (With cats in tow…)I’m that lady!

LOVE THIS CHURCH!!!! I've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. Everyone is extremely welcoming and kind and I'm only 13 but in my opinion, it's very important for kids to have a good church to call home to

Man where do I start, ok I was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana, I moved to Austin where I've made it my home I'm originally Cogic ( Church of God in Christ ) all my life, well to skip to the good part, My oldest brother of eight siblings was shot and killed in New Orleans, Louisiana in April of this year 2022 so I had to go home for the memorial service, i ended up staying there for 4 months in finding out my dad had pancreas cancer, well after spending time with him and seeing him in good spirits i told him I had to head back to Austin but I'd be back for his birthday September 8th well after getting back to Austin in August I had lost my place had nowhere to stay and was sleeping at the bus stop on slaughter and menchaca well one day I was going to go to catch the bus in trying to find a meal while on my way to i felt a strong need to attend church but I was dirty had a bad order and tired but i still wanted to go to a service well I came upon a church by the name of Westoak Woods Baptist and Church and although hesitant I walked up and a woman met me by the community missions building and ask hi may I help you and I said yes I'm just trying to attend service and she had to smell and see I had to be homeless but she still said well service starts at ten but you can come in with me to Sunday school now so I went while there i learned the name of who all was in the class as well as them mine and my situation after service two members Bob Liverpool and his wife took me to lunch and unexpectedly brought clothes and a bed and breakfast while I was there I found out that that Sunday my dad had past and the memorial service was the next day I was so torn about that but the entire congregation was there to comfort in anyway well I decided to join the church they excepted me the way the I was situation and all and help however they could well September the 9th I was sent a text at 1:30am that my mom had past in the hospital and for reasons I can't say here I wouldn't be able to attend her service but this church is my Angel my comfort my family i wouldn't know what id do if I didn't have them the pastor he knows how to preach the gospel as well as teach the gospel im so grateful that God Has blessed me to have come across such a family in tue time i needed to Westoak Woods Baptist Church is a Church like no other and I just want them to know they are forever my family and my home

2021 promises to be a great year for this church with a great new pastor & worship minister! This is a smaller church where you will feel welcomed & part of a family! If you've felt isolated and discouraged during the past year, I challenge you to visit Westoak Woods Baptist! There are plenty of opportunities coming up for adults and children to grow in God's word. Pastor James has done his research and really wants to reach you, southwest Austin area! Visit online @ 10:45 AM Sundays via Facebook live if you want to check it out during current pandemic restrictions.

Went to the annual Christmas Bazaar and my wife and I had a great time shopping. The members of the Westoak Woods Baptist Church host the bazaar and do a terrific job of making everyone feel welcome. Thank you for putting such a memorable event especially to Barbara for inviting us.

Being new to Austin, finding a good church was a priority. That meant folks who are friendly, caring, honest, mission-minded, devoted, and faithful, even humble. It also meant inspiring worship, Biblical preaching, and a sensitivity to the Lord's will. We found it, thank God.

I'm ashamed and embarrassed to have been a member of this church for 20+ years .I received a phone call that the personnel committee voted that my 2 children ages 5 and 4 who have mental health issues are no longer welcomed in this church .I have worked the nursery going on 10 years and have accepted several children with open arms that have medical and mental conditions like my children .I do not recommend this church for any family anymore especially if you have a child like mine who has been diagnosed with permanent brain damage because they will more than likely not be accepted here .

We have found a bunch of sweet people here. Enjoy the life groups/Sunday school. The pastor is kind and obviously cares for the church.

Very cliquish church, especially the men's group. Priorities are self centered and not God centered, as you will see after attending for a while.
