Working with Wendi & the ROOTS team was such a great experience! My husband & I worked with Wendi & the ROOTS team to both sell our old home & buy our new one. Both transactions were so seamless because of Wendi & her expertise in the Austin market. Everyone on the team is super professional but they are also a lot of fun & truly enjoy what they do.
We would highly recommend working with Wendi & the ROOTS team for any home sell or buy in Austin!

Wendi has helped me and my husband to buy and sell multiple homes in Austin. From the beginning, I could see that Wendi enjoyed her job. Her wholehearted enthusiasm impressed me and I felt more cheery and optimistic just being with her. Her confidence put me at ease, and driving around looking at houses with her was always fun.
When she and I found the perfect house for my family, I loved sharing that joy with her. When there was less enjoyable work to be done, like getting the house ready to show and moving, she helped me so much! She makes work look easy, being capable in all the roles the job requires. Wendi's staging skills are amazing to behold--I watched as she decluttered and rearranged in my house before a photo shoot. She has a magic touch, transforming messiness into casually curated in a matter of moments. Thankfully, she was there whenever I needed her support.
This spring we had to put our Austin house on the market, and my husband and I were already living and working in another state. Wendi and her team took care of everything, from project management to staging the house. They watered plants and supervised the painters, in addition to doing open houses and marketing the house. When it came time to negotiate with a potential buyer, we trusted Wendi completely. She represented us in such a gracious way, getting us and the buyer a happy and successful ending.
After over a decade of working together, I have learned that Wendi cares deeply about her clients and also about her Roots team. They run a tight ship, and they take pride in each other. I am proud to be a part of the ROOTS extended family and I am Wendi's #1 fan.

I've worked with several different realtors in other parts of the country and Wendi Slaton Anderson is BY FAR the best realtor I have ever had the pleasure to work with! She helped me buy and sell my house in Austin and it was an A+ experience all around. When I bought the house, she was the perfect guide to the process - she provided knowledgeable insights and advice in terms of location, pricing and desirability and helped me purchase an investment property sight unseen. She gave clear and specific feedback on the options and I felt I could trust her opinion 100%. She helped me quickly hone my search and find an amazing property. She also loves to get her clients a good deal and bargained down the purchase price from the back of a horse on a trail ride during her family vacation (seriously!). Then, when I decided to sell the property, she again provided experienced advice about how to ready the house for sale, she staged it beautifully, she helped identify service providers and manage the whole process as I was not local. It was seamless and I was thrilled with the outcome. She puts all of her considerable energy into doing her job phenomenally well and I hope I get a chance to work with her again!

Wendi and her team are incredible and I would absolutely recommend them! She recently helped me buy a new home and sell my previous home, during a time in the Austin market that was filled with uncertainty. Wendi artfully managed the process and all of the related ups and downs, including the inevitable emotions that go with such an important transation. She balanced keeping me informed and advising me with handling a lot of the details behind the scenes on my behalf. She did a beautiful job of easing the transition from one home to another and helping my family feel comfortable with the changes. Wendi is a very rare combination of a true professional who is at the top of her game who also is a a kind, intuitive person with a big heart. If I didn’t love my new house so much, I would sell it just to work with Roots Residential again! They are the ONLY real estate agency I’ll recommend until the end of time. Wendi and her team descended on our home like an army of home staging angels and made it look so good I almost changed my mind about selling! Throughout the entire process, from showings to closing, Wendi went above and beyond to sell our home and she did it all while helping us find and buy a new home that we LOVE. Wendi and her team have continued to be the most considerate real estate agency ever—they gave us the most thoughtful gift basket when we closed on our new home and sent us the sweetest gift and note when we moved in! This is our second experience working with Wendi and her team. They are AMAZING. Admittedly, I have pretty high standards and they consistently surpass them. This time around she helped us buy a new house and sell our old house. Wendi and her team are fun to work with, organized, savvy, true professionals and kind. No matter how many clients they are juggling, I am impressed with how they are able to make us feel like we are their only client.I have referred Wendi to a friend/colleague who also had an exceptional experience with Wendi. It is hard to describe what makes Wendi such a superb realtor. She helped us sell our house and we were consistently impressed with her knowledge and expertise! She knows how to navigate all the ins and outs of the sales process. She is completely honest and straightforward, and was willing to take the time to answer all of our many questions. She has an upbeat and cheerful personality and actually made the process fun! Wendi is a wonderful negotiator and knows how and when to be patient, as well. She has also built up an amazing team of honest, incredibly nice people. In a word, she's great and we have already recommended her to several of our friends!

If you are interested in buying or selling a house you should seriously consider working with Heather C. Powell from Roots! In one of the hottest markets in and around Austin in 2021, we bid on three places and we got two of them with multiple bids… UNDER our budget. We heard horror stories of folks going after home after home after home and still coming up short. We kind of shrugged and said, “That wasn’t our experience working with Heather! We prepared, knew the market and had our ducks in a row before bidding… and got the deals.” Heather knows how to get it done. She also knows everyone in town or knows how to get the information for you. She is honest and kind and an amazing human and mom. Hire her! She is a top notch pro who never wavers. I am truly impressed with her and we would hire her again in a second! And she put up with me with a smile on her face when I said… at 6 AM… on my last day of looking prior to flying back to Seattle… can we check out this house an hour away. Not only did she drop everything and do it but she made the first appointment available and then turned around and drove another hour and sealed the deal. I had a contract in hand when I got on the plane the next morning. The woman works hard for you! On the seller side, she will work with you to hire all the best humans too! I heard her on the phone when we were looking at places and she was coordinating drywall and paint and tile! You will love working with Heather! I was exhausted from absorbing so much information one afternoon and just truly spent… and she just knew how to be kind. I really like her and you will too.

Wendi and her team helped us navigate selling and buying homes in this fast paced market. They were professional, very knowledgeable, and super accommodating. Hopefully, we won’t be selling and buying a new home anytime soon, but if we do I would definitely use Roots Residential Group again.
