Do you like being treated like a criminal when you have gone out of your way to do everything you have been asked to do by USPS? Look no further than the Northcross Post Office! I sent a birthday present via insured Priority Mail to a relative out of state for his birthday. When it arrived, the package was damaged and the contents were missing. I filed a claim online with USPS complete with explanation, pictures and dollar value. I received a letter in the mail a few weeks later stating that I needed to bring in the damaged envelope to a post office. I literally had to get back the package that I sent across the country and bring it in to continue with the claim. I gave the postal clerk at the counter the letter from USPS along with the damaged package and he told me he didn't know what to do with it and said I'd need to speak with the manager. I waited about 15 minutes and the manager greeted me with a scowl, read the letter and told me it wasn't his post offices fault, and that I'd have to bring it to a post office in the state it was sent to. I'm sure that if I got on a plane and went to the state if was sent to they would tell me I would have to go to the post office where it was mailed from. I would love to support the USPS because I know they are constantly losing money but I will go to UPS or FedEx from now on where they actually honor their insurance claims and don't treat you like a criminal but value you as a customer.

Left a note saying there was no secure place to deliver. my private hidden front porch is where you could left it. The same place where you left the note. Needed my live bugs for my reptiles and have a schedule that would be hard for me to pick up. That's why I wanted them to be delivered to my house. They close in 15 mins and I don't leave till 6 and they are closed on the weekends. Seriously?? Thanks USPS. Now they can't eat until Monday.

Barbara makes this location incredible!!! She found my missing package after I made several attempts to find it. She kept me updated the whole time and she is my hero for finding my package worth $90. Thank you, Barbara!

Standard post office but lower traffic than others I've seen. Big thank you to Lorraine for making the passport renewal process a breeze!

It’s a fine post office just expect a little wait and don’t show up right as they close and you’re fine.

This USPS facility lost an $1800 Christmas package of mine. Sadly I only had $100 of insurance on the package. Rude customer service when I went in person. Don’t use this USPS facility at all costs!

I went here to ship a package, and used a USPS Priority Mail label. Before affixing the label, I carefully cut off the “Priority Mail” text so it was just a blank white label, since I intended to ship the package as media mail. Nevertheless, the very rude employee at the counter forced me to remove the label and said it would be “stealing” the use their label for anything but Priority. Ridiculous.

This is by far my favorite USPS location in Austin! It's not even in my neighborhood, but I'll drive there anyway because of the great service. There's not typically a long line, but even if there is, it moves really quickly. All of the employees I've worked with have been exceptionally polite and efficient. They always apologize for the wait, even if there was only 1 person in front of me.Highly recommend this location!!!

Refuses to pick up phone during hours of operations, despite my 20+ calls over 2 weeks. There is also no voicemail set up, so contacting them remotely is impossible.

It's bad enough we can't access our boxes after hours ( as we should) and thereby absolutely unacceptable to lock the front door prior to 6pm.
I work all day, if I get there at 5:59pm that door should be open. The guy who locks up just stood there and stared at me with a smug attitude and gloated while I begged him to let me pick up my mail (a 45 min drive from home). I stood there for approx 15 minutes watching a lady self-mail a package while Mr Smug-face brooded. It would have taken me less than 15 seconds. I would have been in and out before he had time to put his keys back in his pocket. Shame on you USPS!
