These soldiers deal with more problems in 20 minutes than I could have ever dealt with at any of my previous service jobs. Every person that works here deserves to be paid 200K minimum for their service to the bratty, undeserving, incompetent public. Thank you

4 months later, Aug. 2024: ONCE AGAIN, no international stamps to be bought. Ughhhhh -- how can a post office lack one of the 2 types of stamps there are?!? What awful, dreadful, embarrassing organization. When will they -- finally -- get their act together?!? Doesn't give the US public sector a very good reputation...
Doesn't have simple stamps to sell! So badly run. A post office without stamps -- absurd!!
Back on a later occasion for another LOOONG line, with one lonely person working the counter, and about 10 customers wasting their time waiting, waiting, waiting. What a DISASTER this post office is!! Soooo badly run. An embarrassment!

Not able to print a shipping label or tape the box. It’s like going to a restaurant that tells you to bring your own silverware.

I use this location pretty frequently as an eBay seller. No issues so far and the clerks are nice people that work hard.

I went in to apply for my passport and social security card, I had a great experience. Rachel was very helpful and polite, though she was busy and her schedule was full she managed to squeeze me in and gave me resources to get physical therapy. I just want to say thank you, my passport and documents arrived a few weeks ago. Be nice to the staff as they deal with a lot of entitled and rude people, this is a great location but it is always packed so be patient and you will be helped and took care of.

I live in Indiana and recently had a package shipped to my sister who lives in Austin for her birthday. There was some kind of hold up and the package took 2 weeks to arrive. During that time I filled out a missing mail request and a service request.
I am grateful to the employees of the Chimney Corners post office in Austin, who took the time to call me on two different occasions in attempt to provide more information. I understand that locating lost mail can be difficult, and I am appreciative that this location was taking my concerns seriously and cared enough to contact me. I'll add as a side note that my local post office was totally apathetic and refused to assist me in any way, so I am especially grateful that the people down in Austin were more friendly and helpful.

They sent our Save the Dates, 4 of them, to THREE PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES! Ladies- when you send your save the dates…..get tracking numbers. I guess simple mail is not possible anymore.
All different address listed correctly. Return address (our house) listed correctly. Stamped, had seals on them, we paid a lot of $$ for these, stamped them and yet THREE PEOPLE got FOUR DIFFERENT INVITES?!

I drive several miles past the disaster that is USPS Bluebonnet Station just to get to this location at Far West -- which is at the opposite end of the USPS spectrum from the Bluebonnet Station Land of the Lost. The line at Far West moves quickly and the staff is always courteous and responsive. Vikki is amazing, and if everyone at a few other USPS locations had her outstanding attitude as far as customer service, the whole Postal Service would look a lot less like a government agency and a lot more like a private business that has to compete for (and satisfy) customers.

Couldn't access my PO Box or the self service machine because the close the lobby at 6 PM. When did they start closing the lobby? It's been 24 hours for ever.

Five stars is for the remaining quality employee who strives his best to provide excellent customer service despite him currently being the only one working the desk on Saturday, one of the BUSIEST days here (plan accordingly ?). We just lost one of the other great employees to retirement, and this poor guy is now bearing the brunt of lack of proper management. He has no support at the front desk, no stamps until Wednesday, and also no money orders because there isn't time for him to restock his drawers. The branch is so understaffed and poorly run. I hope we don't lose him too because you can only mistreat patient people so long before they look elsewhere. Get it together, management! You used to have a great post office, but now it has sunk to a whole new level of chaos. How we can raise the tax money taxpayers pay the post office to subsidize this sub-standard work is amazing.
