Tommie Austin - JDV by Hyatt is an awesome hotel in an awesome location, within walking distance of Sixth Street bars and many restaurants, bars, and entertainment. The hotel and rooms feature a unique style and decor. Guests should note the rooms are smaller than typical, described as pod-style or an efficient use of space ideal for minimalists, with clever features like under-bed drawers and a vanity setup. Some find them strangely small, but others find they have everything needed. The staff is consistently noted as professional, friendly, accommodating, and nice, from the front desk and valet to the coffee and pool teams. The on-site restaurant and coffee bar, The Grey Market, is highly recommended for breakfast and lunch, and there is a convenient restaurant on the fourth floor. Valet parking is available, but the area has amazing walkability. The hotel is attached to the Thompson hotel, sharing a check-in desk and elevators. Amenities include comfortable beds, quality bath products, in-room sound machines, and available ear plugs. While some note the lack of a fridge, the overall experience is great, with many guests stating they would definitely stay again.
Awesome hotel! Had the window view and no I didn’t pay extra for that. I like how convenient the restaurant was on the 4th floor. Right next to the hotel they have $5 mimosas! I was shocked bc where else can u find $5 mimosas?! The only downgrade was no fridge, but more than likely I’ll book again lol.

We loved our stay at tommie Austin. Awesome location for the 6th St bars and we loved the hotel and room’s unique style/decor. Also appreciated the in-room sound machine. I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed here with our pup and had the best experience! Beautiful pool and rooftop views, extremely walkable location.
