“I had an outstanding experience with Trent and the technicians from Tech One Automobile! From the moment I called, Trent was friendly and professional. He quickly arranged for a same-day diagnosis of my car, which I greatly appreciated.
When I arrived, he took the time to walk me through the entire process, making sure I understood what would happen next to get my car checked out. The technician was efficient and thorough, identifying the source of the oil leak in no time—turns out it was my oil cooling line that had been damaged from hitting a sidewalk.
Trent then assessed the repair costs and provided me with a printed quote, complete with a timeline for getting the necessary parts and completing the repairs. He also mentioned the possibility of a discount if I decided to have additional work done, which was a nice touch.

“We were in a situation where I was 7 hours away from home in Austin TX. The vehicle showed low tire warning. We called around to find a tire repair shop. The first place I called wanted to charge me $50. So we called Tires to you and was told that if the tire was repairable that they would repair it for free. I couldn't believe it. I had never heard such a thing. I went over and the staff of young ladies were very nice and very knowledgeable about tires and tire repair. They found 2 nails in the tire and some wire showing. It was deemed unrepairable, but the did mount my spare tire on the vehicle and they didn't charge me a thing. I would definitely do business with them if I'm ever in the area again. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.”

“Such an amazing, honest shop!! Our car randomly started screeching and we assumed we’d need brake pads or rotors changed or something that would cost us a bag. These guys were so nice, found a tiny rock in the backing plate, and got us in and out in 30 minutes. With the way the car sounded, I’m pretty sure other places would’ve turned this tiny problem into an unnecessarily costly one. Would definitely recommend!!”

I had the check engine and battery light turn on on my Miata. I dropped it on a Wednesday and they let me know by end of day Thursday that they had everything fixed. They went through the whole car and also fixed my AC.

“Derrick and the Discount Tire team provided the kindest service I have ever received today. On my way to pick up my daughter from daycare at 4:45pm, a screw was identified in my tire during a tire pressure check. Estimates of 1.5-2 hours were given out to customers in an endless line in front of me. I explained my personal situation of needing to pick her up by 6:00pm with my unfortunate predicament; my husband was not only out of state but our other car was currently parked in the airport. I asked if it would be safe to drive home and address this in the morning. He responded with “give me an hour.” Less than 30 minutes later, I was on my way to pick her up with 8 minutes to spare. We have purchased numerous sets of tires from Discount before, but this act confirmed that we will never purchase from anywhere but. My sincerest gratitude goes out to Derrick, the hard working team today (in the pouring rain), and to Discount Tire for always placing customers first.”

“On edit (8/30/24): Dave’s is BEYOND the best! I had an issue with my e-brake that would have been an expensive pain in the neck to get repaired. And on the Friday before Labor Day holiday? Oh, that makes things even worse. But even though they are busy today, they found time for me and Joey D, the mechanic who helped me, was helpful and kind and patient.
I love this shop. I will never go elsewhere. They are so kind, and so thorough in their work, and so neighborly—this is a local place, with their hearts right here in Austin—I will never go elsewhere.

Dave's Ultimate Automotive is THE BEST!
My parking brake was not working, and this started up just in time for state inspection. I was anxious about it and felt very grateful when someone in one of my Facebook neighborhood groups asked about reputable brake repair places here in Austin. Dave's got enthusiastic reviews, so I decided to try this shop.
They totally exceeded expectations. The front-line person who helped me, Mark, is a gem. So kind, so patient, so nice. Everyone in the front office jokes around, they have a good, mellow vibe, and they make you feel like everything is going to be fine.
The repair was expensive--new brakes, essentially--but they were prompt, Mark kept me in the loop and was generous with explanations of things, and I got my car back with excellent new brakes. I also now have a trustworthy local shop where I feel comfortable and confident in their services.
Thank you to everyone, from Mark and the friendly front-desk people to the mechanic who did such a great job on my car! (And yes, I did pass state inspection, no problems!)
