the way I evaluate a shop before doing any larger jobs is to try a few small things ideally some that requires “off label” solutions. My experience here is a mixed bag. Some great some left my blood boiling and me losing a good amount of trust in the shop.
Makes me hesitant to use them for something major like the big 3 on a M3 or doing a manual conversion.

I’ve been a customer of Terry Sayther Automotive for a number of years. I continue to take my car there because I like the way the staff treats its customers. They clearly explain what will be done, give a cost estimate and do quality wiork, which they stand behind. Over the years, I’ve also found the staff to be honest. That’s not true of all automotive technicians and mechanics.

Had my E90 towed here for knocking sound in the engine compartment. They did an excellent job discovering the root of the problem and remained flexible to my unorthodox request. Excellent communication and very efficient work. Will be returning.

I brought a used car that was purchased a week before to make sure it was a "good one" The staff (Nichole) was super professional and prompt with presenting all information to make an informed decision. I will be using them for repairs and maintenance in the future! They came with a good reference from a previous Mini customer. Very impressed.

Terry Sayther is fantastic. After getting frustrating and suspect news from the dealership, we drove straight there, and they sorted us out with honesty, integrity, and fair prices. I've used them on and off over the last 10 years and have enjoyed every experience. Great people, great service.

Terry Sayther is the only place I will take my Mini Cooper. A while back I made the mistake of getting an oil change at some random shop near my house, which resulted in a new oil leak. The random shop couldn't figure out what was causing it. The Mini dealer couldn't figure it out either (but managed to manipulate me into doing some other expensive repair I didn't need). I found Terry Sayther online and took my car in. They knew exactly what was going on (the random shop had put some generic part on instead of a Mini part) and quickly got me fixed up. I love their easy systems for car drop off and pick up and the text updates with photos about the repairs. I am just so glad I found them!

Nicole could not have been more helpful. My car was towed there, they remedied the issue on short notice. My battery terminal was not fully connected. They tightened it and did it at no charge. I could not be more thankful.

It can be intimidating to bring your car to a repair shop, not knowing what surprises or potential disadvantages may arise.
