It extremely understandable that the neighborhood feels their outreach ministry is a problem. I would urge people to feel compassion for our homeless community. We received some services there that were unexpected as victims of domestic violence displaced temporarily on two separate occasions. Services that cost a lot of money time effort and sacrifice on the part of the teams that come together there to make it happen. One thing you can observe up close is the humanitarian respect shown by staff/volunteers. You can also see the devastation that so many human beings are living with under and through to keep going another day of just survival. Yes there are a lot of factors and some beyond returning to your side of way of life because of addiction, abuse, circumstances, misfortune, injustice....There are also people like the gentleman who clearly in his own pain gently secured the sleeping owner's puppy to his hand and picked up trash, the woman who tried to help a young man get a belt for his upcoming interview so he could be more presentable, the woman who treated me with more courtesy than I treated her with in line, the man who allowed me to go in front of him even though time was running out to be served, the woman who held the door open for me....these too are our homeless brothers and sisters and we need to see with our eyes and hearts not just our fear and disdain. It's a beautiful place.

This place makes promises and insures clients that they have a trustworthy organization. They promote having mail sent there. I had a package sent there with a new iPhone and jewelry which was signed by an employee then the package disappeared. They want me to file a claim with FedEx and then told me they have nothing to do with it. So incredibly unhelpful and untrustworthy. Don't believe the promises and lies they tell you as it's all bullshit.

I actually work with mission Accomplished at sunrise on Mondays where we provide free laundry service for the homeless and it has been a Blessing. I tell everyone that in the blink of an eye it can be you. So be courteous to others and if you don't have a kind word of encouragement please remember we are all God's children.

Never been. I am regular in the area. I don’t identify with Christianity. I think the Bible says something about feeding the hungry. I don’t judge people for their life, situations, or decisions. This place seems like a good organization that helps the destitute.
I will do what I can to become a supporter.
Thank you sunrise for looking out for all the folks in need of help.

I had no idea the amount of homeless here in Austin. This church helps but with many lines to stand in it makes the whole process take more time than necessary.

It's great this place wants to help those are in need but it is very clear the people who go to this place are a bunch of lazy, criminal, drug addicts. The neighborhood is now filled with these type of people and will only get worse. STOP rewarding people for being useless citizens to society. From day one we all knew the dangers of drug use, hanging out with the wrong people, and committing crimes. Enough with the excuses and how about more accountability. Pathetic.

This church is a lifeline to so many people. To see it come under attack here is so disheartening. The people of texas are truly despicable to hate on a church who is actually helping the community. I passed by so many other churches, sitting quietly behind their fences being useless. And yet, I'm sure the same texans would look on those with respect. I love this church. I hate these texans.
