If only there was a way to double the number of stars I would give them ALL to Kristen, the queen of the curly cut. I had been seeing Kristen for years and then moved up north. I decided to try a stylist located closer and the cut I received killed my poor trying-to-cling-to-life curls. I promptly made an appointment to return south to see Kristen and like she always does: she revived my curls! Was it witchcraft or just her expert experience? Either way, I was so grateful.
In addition to being a total badass with curly cuts, Kristen is also a gem of a human. She's got such great energy and our conversation is always fun/insightful. I look forward to seeing her as much as I do getting my mop tamed. She has curly hair herself and is an expert at bringing curls back to life. She cleaned up my kinda-weird haircut and I've had multiple people inquire about it---it was a visible, immediate improvement.
Curly girls---go see Kristen! You, too, will commute as far as necessary when you see the difference between a regular haircut and a specialty curly cut with a lovely gal who really "gets" curly-hair.

I went to Spoleti recently for a cut and full baylage. I was disappointed after my appointment because the cut and color didn't match up to the pictures that I had prepared for the appointment. That being said, I still had a good experience with Spoleti.
They offered to have me return to the salon to have them fix my hair to what was expected. It was easy to communicate via text and I feel like they did their best to make things right. It's not easy being a small business in Austin, especially when you are working with a service like hair, so I appreciate that the salon did what they could. Ultimately I did not return, however that was primarily because I have another person I have gone to for my hair.
The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the cut/color was not what I was hoping for. However, I would not hesitate in recommending Spoleti to a friend. Thank you, Spoleti team for your responsiveness.

I had a color mess in my hair and i thought it was not fixable but Krystal slayed my hair I loved my end results .Everyone at the salon was polite and professional, and the products are top notch!? no doubt the best salon around.

I went to Krystal today for the first time. I asked for a money piece & highlight with also a layering haircut and she did amazing! She is the sweetest person and recommended some products to improve my hair care & styling. I definitely recommend going to her for your hair services here at Spoleti Salon!

If you are looking to get a Bob, this is not the right place… I want to start by saying that the staff of this salon is very professional and friendly! The salon is also beautiful. My experience was very disappointing since I had very long hair and wanted to make a change by cutting my hair. I made an appointment for a bob haircut and the way I left the salon was with 2 layers, looking like steps from a staircase.. I rocked and rolled my hair but started to get a lot of comments from friends about how it had those two steps and how Bobs are not like that… I decided to go back for another appointment with a different hairstylist. I specifically asked for a straight Bob “NO LAYERS” I said… towards the end of my appointment, the hairdresser says that they needed to “blend” my hair and after the blowout, they start cutting my hair randomly to make it “blend”… my hair now has so many different lengths that makes me cry when I look myself in the mirror. It’s butchered, and there’s nothing I can do about it since it’s so short. The worst part is that it’s only one side, the left side does not have as many layers as my right side which makes it more uneven.. I’m sure this salon has great professionals and I don’t doubt that but this was my experience… I’m now using Bobby pins every day until my hair grows so I can finally get a straight haircut.

I just had the best blowout of my life with Michael!! The conversation was so fun and although I have tons of hair, I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
Definitely will be raving about my hair for a while.

I've been going to Kristen for years now and she does a great job. When I got married in Fredericksburg a few years ago she fitted my extensions and wrote me the sweetest note that I saved ! She's very thoughtful. I come in every few months to get Lasio done with Kristen. I used to get regular keratin until I found out about Lasio and now I'll never go back. It's way less chemicals and it works just as good. The price is very reasonable as well. I do wish they had a better price for when you're just getting a trim as they charge you the same cost as a styled haircut but I think that's most salons. Even when I move in a few months I think I'll just drive the extra distance as I don't think I'll be able to find a comparable spot.

Can I say the customer service here and skill set is amazing. I came in after having my hair treated by multiple stylist in the past and they had to work ontop of a lot of other people patterns and technique and I’m so happy with the results. Lots of talent and I’m so happy with my blond!

I've tried a few salons in Austin and Spoleti is by far my favorite! I've been going to Kristen C. for years she's incredibly talented especially for curly styles.
The salon is always clean, staff is friendly and their products are vegan!

Booked an appointment to get my hair done for my 30th, came in and they didn't schedule me correctly and couldn't take me for my appointment.I booked in advance and got childcare to come in and was not happy to waste my time and money.

I got a full highlight in October. The stylist used bleach, which had not been used to highlight my hair in many years, as my previous stylist used two to three different shades of blonde. I really didn't think any stylist just went straight for the bleach without a client specifically asking for it these days. Still, I was pretty pleased when I left, thanks to a few glasses of wine and a blowout. When I let my hair air dry the next day, I realized how terribly damaged the front was. She let it process for too long (didn't check enough) and it was absolutely destroyed, and breaking off. I have NEVER had that happen in the past when I did get bleach highlights. I have thick, healthy hair. I actually cried. It's now mid-March, I've been through 3 bottles of K18 (which is not cheap) but it's still breaking off and looks terrible. It's downright embarrassing, almost 6 months later. I do not have the hair type, face shape, or desire for bangs, so that's not an option. After just letting it be and doing the K18 treatments for awhile, I made an appt elsewhere to try to trim and blend some of this damaged hair in a bit better but it's going to be a long road to full recovery. I'm also very wary of getting highlights again after paying $380 to have part of my hair destroyed, plus almost $300 on K18. Don't make the same, very expensive and upsetting mistake that I did.
Edited in response to Owner: I may have gotten the price wrong after 6 months, but what happened to my hair is no exaggeration. It was left to process for too long in the front. Furthermore, you couldn't put my hair back and I had zero interest in coming back there, or even discussing it as I was too upset, so I had no reason to contact your salon. This is an honest review, I didn't ask you for a refund, and I don't appreciate being accused of basically lying. Not a good look for your salon. Also highlights don't always "mean bleach" and that isn't "common knowledge." Quality stylists avoid bleach, unless it's requested. I am the daughter of a retired one. Lastly, I didn't "let" anyone fail me, so you can miss me with that victim-blaming, gaslighting nonsense.

Extremely rude customer service. I called to know the starting price for a bob cut and the lady ask me to spell my name three times then put me on hold then came back to me and ask twice to spell my last name. Finally time to ask about the next available appointment and being told April 10 and today is March 3. Lol
