Very decent spot in the middle of a food desert.Everything is lax. Arguably excessively lax. For example, one (1) vendor was dropping off an order of sorts. He had a dolley in one spot, a full pallet in the adjacent and something small in a third spot right up front. Nope.Lax cleaning inside and out, lax conversation [with whomever was on the other side of that bluetooth ear piece], lax professionalism with respect to spelling on receipt and pricing. 2 Gatorades for $3, 2 bags of sunflower seeds for $1, and Sour Patch Kids. Only consistency in pricing was found in Gatorade purchase. And edibles like seeds are exempt from taxes too.I'll probably be back anyway. Perhaps they will improve.

When we moved out here a year & a half ago, we quickly noticed the crowd gathering at this gas station/food market each day around noon. It seemed to be the place to go for many. We noticed the small grill at the back of the store, but most of the time we were there in the evening when it was closed. We finally stopped in at lunch one day and decided to give it a try. I had the chicken gordita plate and my husband had the fajita plate. Both came with generous portions of rice & beans, and the entrees were enough for 1 1/2 - 2 people. Our to-go containers seemed to weigh a ton. Both of us ate until we were stuffed, unable to finish all that they gave us. Lunch for two, with drinks from the store cooler, was under $20 and was really tasty. This was an unexpected and very much appreciated surprise. Don't let the old building and gas station setting put you off. I've heard the burgers are excellent, so I'll be back to try them next.
