I stopped this Sephora location (Arboretum at Great Hills Austin, Tx) to purchase a bottle of Rihanna Fenty perfume with a co-worker. When my co-worker and myself finished shopping around I headed up front to pay for my bottle of Fenty perfume. The sales associate, causaian guy rung up the lady in front of me and when it became my turn he left the cash register to go help someone else instead of telling me that he’ll “be right back”. I immediately left the store for this mistreatment. I refuse to spend my hard working money at a place that does not respect me. That is not how you treat a customer and I will not be returning to this location.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Selena that helped me out with finding a good skin care routine at this location. She was really helpful and knowledgeable regarding skincare lines and helped target my issues with products that would help long term. I don’t do this an often but she was just really awesome and helped me out so much!

Chelsea is amazing!! She helped me for at least an hour and got me everything I needed. She also introduced me to brands and products I had never heard of! So thoughtful and pleasant to talk to and even gave me some life advice. 10000/10 go to her!

I had the most wonderful experience at Sephora the other night, I didn’t get her name but she had beautiful rainbow eyeshadow on and she took the time to help me find the perfect products for my skin and they have worked out amazing!!

I was in Austin for a conference and remembered I had a reward that was going to be expiring soon. Lucky for me, there was a Sephora across the street from my hotel. At least six employees walked past me never acknowledging me. There were two groups, huddled talking and hanging out. I finally found something that I wanted but had to go back for something else, and just became so flustered and frustrated with being ignored I just left. When I got to the door, everyone looked at my hands. it’s really my fault! We know that it’s a crime being black and Sephora but I had higher hopes for “liberal” Austin.

I was at SEPHORA ARBORETUM-9722 GREAT HILLS TRAIL, SUITE 115, AUSTIN, TX 78759 and I made a purchase which was almost $600.00 including the SEPHORA FAVORITES Perfume Sampler for $85.00. I specifically purchased the Perfume Sampler because I thought I could redeem it for a 1.0 fl.. oz. bottle of Valentino Domna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy Eau De Parfum to complement the 3.4 fl. oz. size I purchased.
I specifically asked about Valentino Domna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy Eau De Parfum with every associate I spoke with. I even asked the associate who assisted me for the 1.0 fl. oz. size when I got the 3.4 oz. bottle.
Unbeknownst to me, she put the 1.0 fl. oz. bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma in my shopping bag. When I was checking out, I advised the associate I did not want the Valentino Donna Born in Roma because I prefer the Valentino Donna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy. It wasn't until after I opened the Perfume Sampler in the store that I was advised the certificate could only be redeemed for the Valentino Donna Born in Roma.
So, I advised her that the Perfume Sampler was useless to me because the Valentino Donna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy was the only one of the Valentino Born in Roma fragrances that smelled nice on me. They IMMEDIATELY refused to allow me to redeem it for Valentino Domna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy or process a return. So, I returned my entire purchase except for the Perfume Sampler they refused to accept, and my sister left her over $100.00 in merchandise as well.
SEPHORA allowed TWO unhappy customers to walk out of their store and lost an over $700.00 sale over a situation that could have been handled totally differently. No customer satisfaction was exhibited at all. The reviews of the SEPHORA FAVORITES Perfume Sampler do not lie! It is a RIPOFF! I could and would have just purchased the 1.0 fl. oz. or the travel size (if they had it) of Valentino Domna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy Eau De Parfum instead. Not to mention, the reviews regarding the Perfume Sampler are all true. One of the samples in my bag was not even half filled, and out of the broken holder/cover. They are the same samples that you get for free. It's pretty pathetic!!!

The short and rather rotund red head at the front door is rude, impatient, and shqe shouldn't be working customer service. I had the pleasure of interacting with her and apparently frustrating her to the point she felt the need to make an exclamation as if I was a moron. I will not return and you shouldn't either.

On December 20, 2023 I was in Sephora at Great Hills late and looking at fragrances, but decided to come back the next day when I have more time but I also remembered I needed a foundation because I am an older male , and I have redness to my skin. Adrienne or Adrian helped me first with the computer matching as I was interested in Lady Gaga‘s house Lab foundation. The computer picked 175 and we applied it and then she got a second opinion from Katie who had been in the business for 10 years and thought there was a better match so she picked 160 and that was a much better match than the computer although the computer was close. It’s awkward as an older male to ask for help for makeup, but these two lovely ladies made me feel completely at ease and helping me find a good match although both colors were out at your store, they checked another store at Mueller and the store had the 160 color I needed so I went there the next day and picked it up. I want to thank both you ladies so very much because you made not only an awkward situation for me Feel completely comfortable, but you also stayed 20 minutes after the store closed to finish up with me and find where it might be at other stores. You both gave outstanding customer service, and I hope you have a very happy holiday and a wonderful new year.
