I called Rack Attack to see if I could bounce ideas off the sales personnel. They took their time to answer questions, give me scenarios and even provided a couple of quotes for me to look at. When I dropped by, they had everything in stock and a few hours later, I had a rack and basket installed.
The only downside side is that I went on a holiday and the two salespeople were also the installers. (I'm not sure if that is how it always is.) They had a busier than expected holiday, so when I went to pick up, the install still had to be completed. Other than this, it was a great experience; friendly and knowledgeable sales crew and lots of equipment "eye candy" to keep one entertained.

So far I have had a decent experience with Rack Attack Austin. Purchased a Yakima HD Rack and wasn’t told that an integral part (the cross-bar) was not included in the price of the up rights. I get how that is the part that varies but would like to have been told that up front and not told they were included in the original price. You can be an expert that helps or a salesman…can’t be both.

Guys at Rack Attack we’re super helpful in diagnosing an issue I was having with my SL Corebar Adapter - attempted to fix my existing adapter but when that didn’t work, they replaced it for me, free of charge. Just very nice service and very pleasant guys to chat with. Thank you!

These guys are awesome! Called on a Sat looking for a specific rooftop tent, the iKamper Skycamp 3.0, for my brother's Excursion. I was going to surprise him so I wanted it installed that day. They ended up having the exact tent on the floor and a pallet of them in the back. They installed it the same day and we drove away very happy with the product, the service, and the overall experience. Highly recommend!

This is the place to go for your cargo system needs. The Rack Attack team is incredibly knowledgeable and actually takes the time to help you get to the right solution. The showroom is great and lets you see a wide variety of gear. They will also help you get everything installed. Expertise coupled with a personalized touch = Rack Attack.

Great experience! Helped me with my ordering and installation, answered questions, and worked with my schedule. They always know what will and won't work because they look it up first; no trial and error business. I wouldn't trust my gear to anyone else, on Texas roads.

Rack Attack is great! Everyone was super friendly and had no issues helping us out. We lost the rubber tracks for our Thule Aero Bars and the folks at Rack Attack had no issues sourcing the part and getting us squared away before our trip. Definitely will be back when it’s time for an iKamper setup.

The store itself is great and is filled to the brim with anything and everything that you can attach to the roof of a car, but the customer service is even better. I accidentally walked away with the wrong clamps and was sent the correct ones via mail (along with a slip for returning the incorrect ones) since I live an hour or so outside of Austin. Will definitely be paying them another visit in the future.

Such a great shop.. really true to the Austin spirit. I've gone in there a few times just needed help with a rack that I did not purchase from them and they are always so quick to help me out. Steve and his co worker were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop to anybody, and I myself will definitely be returning.

A great selection of rack products for a wide range of vehicles & recreational endeavors from biking, kayaking & car/truck rooftop camping.Customer Service is top notch from a knowledgeable staff that know their products and what works best for your needs. Installation was expertly done and I was instructed how to best use my new rooftop bike rack. Kudos to Assistant Manager Jay for sharing his personal experiences.

These folks are super customer focused. Jay did our initial quote and steve was very informative with the follow up. I get the impression they really know their stuff. I am confident that my daughter will have a great solution and i trust them to treat her well
