Best GYM in AUSTIN! Although its a smaller lifetime with less amenities compared to other locations this gym is unique. What makes Braker unique is its own private lake where members can swim, paddle board and kayak included. The gym is always clean the team is wonderful always happy and helpful.

I have been a member for over a year now. Generally it is a good gym, but the AC in the mezzanine level has been broken the entire time I have been a member and it seems like there isn't a plan to fix it. The mezzanine feels like about 78-80 degrees on a hot day. I am surprised they only place 3 fans out on the mezzanine. I think they can afford at least 3-5 more fans (total 6-8) to cover all areas of that floor.
I tried finding a corporate number to help escalate the issue, but they gave me the number of the GM Karen. When I called I got an automated "enter your PIN number".
I'm rating 4 stars since for a premium gym. I would have expected there would be a plan of action to fix it within the year+ of my membership give the $180 cost per month.
That being said, I plan on staying for now due to the kind hourly staff, built in locks on the lockers, towel service, water filters & flavored waters, and the location.

Still no AC on the second floor for over a year where the monthly membership goes not for repairs on the facilities. It's dangerously warm inside now it's 105F

It's insanely hot upstairs and sometimes downstairs. Their AC has been broken for over a year and they're always waiting on the vendor to come fix it. We never had issues like this when it was Pure. Bought by Lifetime and with it comes a lot of corporate red tape, apparently. The rest of the gym is fine, which makes the broken AC all the more grating.

This place has its upstairs air conditioner (where all the cardio equipment is) broken for a YEAR. It’s regularly in the 80s upstairs and sometimes so hot I can’t even work out. Until they fix this they get 1 star. Avoid for now.

A nice gym overall but it’s much smaller and has fewer amenities than other Lifetime locations. Also, the AC “breaks” multiple times a year and it gets very hot inside, especially on the second floor. Every time I’ve asked about it, they say it’s being worked on and will be fixed soon but it keeps breaking. Doesn’t seem worth the hefty price tag and multiple fee increases if the AC doesn’t even work.

This is a nice gym however they have a serious problem with the upstairs AC, during the hot summer it’s often near 80 degrees in the cardio area. The management is aware of the issue and yet the problem persist.

August 2024 Update: Nevermind, the AC does not work even though it’s summer in Texas - so the entire gym feels like a sauna.
Really wish this gym had a sauna.

Update: It's now nearly August and the AC is still broken. I've given up on this lifetime location completely.
It's s early May and it's already quite hot upstairs. Once again the AC is either underpowered or not working at all. How a gym operates like this in Texas I don't know, but it's happened probably about a dozen times this year. The water fountain filters are also not regularly changed and the roof usually leaks when it rains. The facility is alright but it's certainly the smallest of the lifetimes in Austin and probably the worst in terms of maintenance. Avoid this gym, it's not worth the money.

I’ve been a member of Lifetime Fitness for quite some time, and I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of urgency in fixing the air conditioning on the upper floor. It’s been broken for what seems like a year now.
Considering the premium fees we pay for membership—hundreds of dollars each month—this level of neglect is simply unacceptable. This isn’t a budget gym like Gold’s Gym, where you might expect some issues. We pay a significant amount for what is supposed to be a top-tier fitness experience.
The heat upstairs is unbearable, especially during the summer months. It’s not just uncomfortable, but it also creates an unhealthy workout environment. The management’s lack of action in resolving this issue is mind-blowing. Despite numerous complaints from members, there seems to be no real effort to get the AC repaired.
Lifetime Fitness needs to address this immediately. We expect better service and facilities for the amount we’re paying. If the management doesn’t take swift action, I will consider canceling my membership and looking for a gym that values its members’ comfort and well-being.

I'm so tired of how hot it is at this gym. There's no excuse. The men's showers also reak.

I love coming here! I joined mostly for the classes offered, and I've been enjoying everything I've had the chance to try (particularly yoga with Cici!).

Update: late may 2024 and it is HOT in here. The other recent reviews about an underpowered AC seem to have some legitimacy to them. Confirmed with GM the entire upstairs AC is broken and awaiting a repair. OOF. This seems to be a pattern if you go through reviews historically. See pic for completely disabled upstairs thermostat. It does not appear they have a timeline for a fix or a plan to bring in fans in the meantime. As much as I love this gym over my two years here, the quality has gone downhill and management has stopped engaging with reviews or sending out notices/emails. I’d avoid for the time being.
The weird weekend hours (close at 7) are unfortunate.
I don’t really get people saying the employees are rude here. A couple of them are especially nice, most are neutral. They’re gym employees just doing their jobs, if you want a friendly conversation from a gym employee, conversate with the GM or seek out a friend
